Moncada y Lorenzo has developed a solution for centralized control via IP of Canon outdoor robotic cameras, model NU-701. These provide high image quality thanks to their 3 CCD's and 20X zoom lens (4.2 – 84mm). Compact design provides maintenance-free operation. Centralized control software, AVSC, Allows control of any number of cameras from a single user interface. Incorporates functions such as user management (includes definition of access levels), camera management, creation and call to memories, creating memory sets (For example: meteorology, traffic, …). The main applications are traffic information, airports, meteorology, outdoor sporting events, wildlife monitoring, … Canal Sur Televisión and Sogecable already have this solution for use in their news programs.
