Doremi's DCP-2000 reach 7.800 facilities
The Doremi DCP-2000 have become the most widespread servers for JPEG digital cinema 2000 DCI with a total of 7800 screens around the world.
A total of 20 millions of projections in 7.800 screens around the world have already reached servers for JPEG digital cinema 2000 DCI. These figures, that would represent a 80% of the 2K cinema market according to Doremi sources, could increase considerably with the emergence of 3D since Doremi has introduced support for RealD technology in its systems and already has license approval from Dolby 3D Digital Cinema. Regarding the 4K range, It should be noted that Doremi has integrated the new generation Media Block platform for DLP Cinema. This will ensure a complete solution for Texas Instruments and its OEM on Series II 2K and 4K projectors.. Development has included working with the Texas Instruments DLP Cinema team for over a year to ensure compatibility of the integrated half-IMB block with next-generation electronics.. As far as stereoscopic projection is concerned, during the last IBC, Doremi has expanded its range of solutions with the V1 HD-2K, GHX-3D, DSV-J2 and NuggetPro forming a wide set of servers and converters designed especially for 3D. It must be remembered that Doremi was one of the first manufacturers to integrate JPEG2000 compression into the possibilities of 3D. From the point of view of software solutions, Doremi is also marketing the CineAsset solution 3.13 that allows you to convert files like QuickTime, AVI, JPEG y TIFF a JPEG2000, decrypt MFX so that they can be projected from any server including the DCP-2000, DCP-2K4 y DSV-J2. Besides, now the version 3.13 CineAsset includes conversion and rescaling from RGB to X'Y'Z'.
