With the rise of high definition and the growing interest in 3D virtual applications for broadcast, Christie display technologies are increasingly in demand by broadcasters. And NAB 2010 Christie exhibits its new MicroTiles, its HD projectors and its versatile video processing systems. These solutions can be seen both in their own stores and in others such as Vizrt or Harris.. Occupying a privileged position on the Christie stand is the “Christie Live” broadcast set., that shows the latest trends in scenography, combining multiple displays and video processing technologies for greater viewership and viewer loyalty. The set, which has been designed by the award-winning FX Group, Features Christie HD projection, Configurable display blocks and advanced video processing. MicroTiles Among its novelties debuting at NAB, destaca Christie MicroTiles, the new digital canvas for broadcast sets. With a modular design that acts as building blocks to create any form of digital display, MicroTiles can easily adapt to any set and provide designers with a solution that offers the best color saturation on the market.. Offering a color range of 115% in NTSC and PAL, displays can be adjusted to any color temperature needed. A total of 51 Christie MicroTiles have been added to the “Christie LIVE” broadcast set in vertical configurations, horizontal and irregular. These configurations are integrated into the front broadcast table; above the center rear projection screen as a narrow viewing strip; in two columns flanking the center of the screen behind the table; and as a backdrop to the left of the main screen with a skyscraper-shaped design. MicroTiles also integrate well with industry-preferred Christie advanced projection and video processing technologies.. Two Christie Roadster HD12K projectors 3 Edge-fading DLP chips join a Christie Vista Spyder X20 to mix and match multiple sources and bring content across the main screen, and to a smaller screen on the side. The projectors of 12.000 ANSI lumens with Xenon lamp technology are ideal for color temperature matching with studio cameras, and the rear screen configuration ensures that nothing gets in the way of images on the screen.
