Iomega, company belonging to EMC, has announced the global launch of the new StorCenter PX series of network storage products, Iomega's most advanced series of desktop and rackmount NAS devices (rack mounted) from up to 18 TB.
Iomega has launched its new StorCenter PX series of network storage products, Iomega's most advanced series of desktop and rackmount NAS devices (rack mounted). This series features four- and six-bay desktop models with advanced data protection features such as multiple RAID levels with hot-swappable drives., UPS compatibility, user fees, device to device replication, and certified for most virtualization environments. Easy to set up, simple and affordable management, Iomega's new StorCenter PX series of network storage devices range from diskless drives, no storage included, up to storage capacities of up to 18 TB (in desktop case). The PX series also includes Iomega's Personal Cloud technology, It allows users to protect and share their data from virtually everywhere without additional costs. The many enterprise-class features and advanced capabilities of the new StorCenter PX desktop and rack-mount series are delivered with high performance through optional solid-state drives., Intel Dual Core processor, 2 GB of memory and NIC (network interface cards) the Ethernet the 2 GB; multiple RAID levels – 0, 1, 10, 5, 5+1 (hot spare, an extra disk connected and ready) y 6, all with automatic RAID rebuild and hot swap functionality; Expandable configurations including fully prepared options, partially prepared and without disc; Active Directory support and remote access for anytime, anywhere availability; certified for VMware vSphere 4.0, Citrix XenServer, y Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2; ability to share files between platforms with Windows computers, Mac y Linux, and simultaneous iSCSI block access for the most efficient storage utilization; and support for major network file protocols. The StorCenter px4-300d consists of four HDD bays and up to 12 TB of storage, and the StorCenter px6-300d comes with six HDD bays and up to 18 TB of storage capacity. The empty bays of both models come with a drive bracket that can accommodate HDDs of 2,5 y 3,5 inches for performance-intensive applications. In rack, with up to 12 TB of storage capacity, StorCenter px4-300r network storage array features four bays for use with hard drives or SSDs. The px4-300r comes in a space-saving 1U form factor, from models without a hard drive to fully prepared with HDD and/or SSD units. Besides, The PX4-300R has all the high availability features of Iomega's flagship rackmount unit, the Iomega StorCenter ix12-300r network storage array, including redundant power supplies.
