Ströer deploys its DOOH channel in several German shopping centers
The German large-format outdoor advertising company Ströer has begun to install its digital signage channel in various shopping centers in the German country. A total of 13 units (24 screens) have already been installed in three establishments in Hamburg: Alstertal shopping center, Hamburger Meile y Elbe shopping center.
Ströer Group has expanded its DOOH advertising catalog for use in shopping centers. Three large stores in Hamburg now have Ströer's DOOH channel, which is based on the same concept that has already been applied in train stations, with 60 vertical screens” located in the places where consumers pass most frequently.
The new DOOH channels work in perfect synchronization with the existing flat screens of the ECE flatmedia, which has been part of Ströer Group since November 2011. They create a special effect when passersby pass in front of them, ensuring high quality of high definition ad staging, cultural news and tips.
Oliver Poppelbaum, general director of sales of the company, has explained that “The new screens are installed at eye level and will easily attract the attention of consumers due to their size, to quality and visual appeal. With the combination of these screens with the ECE flatmedia flat screens, “We are offering a new dimension to attract customers in shopping centers”.
Direct promotion
A total of 13 DOOH channels with 24 screens have been installed in all three centers (Alstertal shopping center, Hamburger Meile y Elbe shopping center) and provide information and direct advertising at the POS. Almost all of them have screens on both sides.
Dirk Wiedenmann, member of the board of directors of Ströer AG and head of the company in Germany, has commented that “We plan to expand our presence in shopping centers just as we have done in railway stations. In Hamburg, We are currently giving an idea of what we can do. “This new solution offers our customers a better opportunity to obtain relevant digital coverage with a single application.”.
