The Korean company LG Display has used the Integrated Systems Europe fair as a framework to present a new display panel. 55 inches that is considered to have the narrowest bezel in the world and incorporates 3D FPR.

LG Display has presented at ISE 2012 a range of new generation display products that include a multi-vision display panel of 55 inches super narrow frame with 3D FPR. In addition to this new display, The company is showing at the fair a wide variety of products for the digital signage market, ranging from an outdoor display solution to 47 inches with high brightness level to an innovative showcase display of 26 inches, all highly energy efficient.

Joon Jun, vice president of LG Display, has stated: “Unlike the television and IT display markets which have reached maturity and are showing signs of slowing, The public signage market is a fast growing market with great potential. “We plan to take an aggressive approach as a market pioneer by introducing our cutting-edge technology at ISE 2012.”

The narrowest bezel on the market
The multi-vision display panel of 55 inch super narrow frame with 3D FPR has been presented for the first time at the ISE fair. This panel is the thinnest display in the world with a multi-view format of 165 inches with nine LCD panels 55 inches, and the way it can be easily customized through other panels. Super narrow bezel offers a very tight joint of 5,3 mm between individual panels, resulting in lifelike images.

With the incorporation of 3D FPR technology to LG screens, viewers of the multivision panels of 55 inches you will be able to enjoy an incredible 3D experience watching 3D movie scenes, previews and sports games abroad. The 3D FPR represents a significant improvement over 3D shutter glass technology (SG), no flicker, with minimal crosstalk and a brighter screen. Besides, FPR goggles are made with curved lenses, like normal glasses, so they are much lighter, cheaper and healthier than SG glasses.

A high gloss exterior solution
LG is also exhibiting at its stand an LCD panel of 47 inch LED backlit. The panel uses a fiber optic screen with 2.000 high brightness nits (four times brighter than a normal TV) resulting in images displayed outdoors much brighter and clearer. Besides, high gloss panel 2000 nit uses Local Dimming technology to reduce power consumption to lower levels than current LCD panels by turning off the darkest parts of their backlighting.

Besides, LG Display LCD panels use a proprietary liquid crystal structure technology that allows the display to continue displaying images even when the panel surface temperature rises to 110 °C. Conventional LCD panels begin to turn black when temperatures exceed 75º C, and also reach 85°C if left outside for 30 minutes at an outside temperature above 30°C.

A look to the future
LG Display is also showing a wide variety of products that offer a look at the future of display technology., like your advanced TV Display Window 26 inches that can be used as a normal glass window or as a transparent touch screen. The panel includes a brightness control feature for sunlight when it is being used as a window, and can also be used as a display at night via a built-in LED backlight. Advanced TV Display Window features the highest color reproduction among existing LCD products, and also uses touch technology, including IR and Multi-Touch method. No physical buttons, The design of the product resembles a window equipped with the most innovative display technology.

At the LG stand you can also see a transparent panel of 26 inches. The panel is integrated with IPS technology (In-Plane Switching) which provides a wide viewing angle and has HD resolution (1366×768). Thanks to its excellent color reproduction, The panel can be used for a variety of public display purposes and can also be manufactured in larger sizes of 40 a 50 inches for use in various public places such as bus and subway stations, department store, etc.
