HP has a new range of thin clients, T510 and T610, which allow viewing HD graphics and offer access to shared applications and data hosted on servers, reducing operating costs and increasing security.

The HP t610 is the first thin client on the market that provides BIOS (Basic Input and Output), a system that complies with the safety recommendations of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which provides high reliability in terms the identification for sensitive computing environments, as well as a second layer of data protection.

Also, it is the first thin client that integrates the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), an integrated security cryptographic chip ensuring access to networks meets the certification requirements established by the Trusted Computing Group.

Powerful dual core processor

The HP t610 includes a G series Fusion processor dual core AMD with 1,65Ghz, making it the fastest dual CPU core in its class. The t610 also features HD graphics (HD) AMD(1). In addition, passive cooling features to help businesses reduce noise in office environments, and eliminates moving parts of their end devices.

The accelerated processing unit (APU) AMD combines a low-power CPU and a dedicated graphics card in a single integrated unit that provides a high-performance multimedia content while maintaining energy efficiency. This device supports DirectX11 software for visual effects and accelerated 3D graphics performance. It also has the capacity to further increase thanks to the AMD Turbo Core technology, without being necessary to consume extra energy.

To improve reliability in a wide range of operating environments, the HP t610 includes HP Active Thermal Management that prevents, even in the most difficult conditions, the device turns off due to overheating.

Available in two configurations of chassis, Standard and Plus, this device incorporates additional ports, graphical display capabilities quad-head, and connectivity options that support fiber and support wireless 802.11 network interface cards to / b/g /, with an antenna double to improve connectivity.

Both the HP T510 and the HP t610 offer a true PC experience in virtualized desktop environments. The two platforms double the minimum amount of RAM, included in the HP thin clients 1GB to 2GB.

Nieves Sánchez, director of the area Workstations and Thin Clients HP PSG Iberia, noted that "with these new thin clients, companies can protect their data more effectively, and get an exceptional user experience through better graphics performance and video to meet the demands of sectors such as finance, healthcare, public sector and retail. Importantly, we have also ensured that T610 and T510 are easy to integrate and manage a comprehensive set of management tools. "

Management software

The HP T610 and HP T510 up the HP Easy Tools software for easy configuration and HP Device Manager for remote management. As a result, administrators can simplify deployment and management of thin clients with MS System Center Configuration Manager and use the newly released HP Imaging Plug-In for Microsoft Windows Embedded Device Manager 2011. Both devices are optimized to be compatible with TOP virtualization software, including Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, Microsoft RDP 7 and VMware View.
