The manufacturer of touch screen products Dawar Technologies has added to its catalog a new multi-touch display with capacitive projection technology that combines functionality, Sensitivity and advanced optics in an all-glass solution.

Dawar Technologies has applied its multi-touch capacitive projection touch screen technology into an all-glass solution aimed at medical applications, instrumentation and industrial. Dawar's new PCT multi-touch screens support four simultaneous points of contact, with admission of all types of gestures – soft blow, pinch, click, zoom and rotate-. Entry is finger-enabled, gloves or conductive pencil.

Dawar's PCT system offers optics with a 90 percent light transmission, a clarity of at least 97 percent, a quick response, and precision without the need for linearity calibration. Sturdy glass construction offers surface durability of, at least, 9H pencil hardness and reliable performance over a wide range of operating temperatures.

The new PCT displays are available in a range of standard sizes: of 4,3 a 24 inches diagonal for controller card and 4,3 a 17 inches diagonal for chip-on-flex. Dawar offers screens, both in standard proportions (4:3) and wide looking, and can provide custom features such as a decorative front lens to replicate the look of popular tablet PCs. They are all compatible with Windows 7 HID with drivers available for most other operating systems and support multiple interfaces (USB, RS232 e I2C). A wide range of controller cards, drivers, Dawar interface cables and other components are available from stock to offer a complete solution, plug-and-play from a single source.
