Verbatim presents the new generation of OLED modules for dynamic lighting

Verbatim's lighting division, that uses technologies developed by its parent company, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, has launched the Velve OLED, modules created to create ambient lighting that at the same time decorates the wall, especially suitable for commercial premises, bares, nightclubs, hotels…

Architects and interior designers can now use OLED technology to create ambient lighting without heat-emitting bulbs., brightness or uncomfortable intensity. Verbatim has introduced the first OLED module with adjustable color and intensity that provides a brightness of up to 2.000 cd/m², el Velve YOU ARE, which is twice as bright as previous fixtures and can be used to create dynamic wall lighting. Velve OLEDs are particularly suitable for creative uses in box lighting and new applications in discotheque or bar environments as they provide soft and harmonious light., Integrated calibration and uniform light distribution from panel to panel.

Although this is a new set of compact off-the-shelf modules, the company can also create custom-sized OLED panels. One of the options has a size of 131mm x 44 mm and the second is just 65 mm x 72 mm, a quarter of the original size. Both variants have a thickness of only 5 mm. The profile of the OLED modules in this series is smaller, thinner and lighter because its printed circuit board is no longer mounted on the back but is housed in an electronic control unit connected via cable.

The latest series of dimmable color Velve OLED modules are ideal for ambient lighting as each panel emits RGB color with a brightness of 2.000 candelas per square meter and a color temperature of 3,000K.
