Iomega, developer of data storage solutions for small and medium businesses, y Anixter, electrical wiring products supplier, networks, communication and security, have teamed up to bring Iomega network storage products to the growing video security surveillance market for SMEs and distributed enterprises in the EMEA region.

Iomega International, subsidiary of Iomega Corporation, has announced the addition of a new distribution partner, Anixter, to cover security video surveillance needs in areas of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Anixter has extensive technical experience in supply chain management as a distributor of complementary services in support of security system integrators., and will now join Iomega to bring its StorCenter network storage products to the SMB and distributed enterprise video surveillance markets.

Iomega StorCenter Network Storage Devices

Iomega network storage products to be offered in video surveillance network storage solutions include the Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 Cloud Edition dual-disk desktop drive, which comes with a network storage capacity of up to 6 TB; the Iomega StorCenter ix4-200d Cloud Edition four-disk desktop drive, with up to 12 TB of storage capacity; and the new six- and four-drive Iomega StorCenter px4-300d and px6-300d desktop models, available in diskless configurations, partially prepared and with up to 18 TB of storage. Rack mount models are also available. (rackmount) offering a storage capacity of up to 36 TB.

All Iomega StorCenter NAS devices use EMC's acclaimed LifeLine software, a fully Linux-powered operating environment compatible with video surveillance management solutions such as the Axis video hosting system (AVHS, Video Hosting Service), jointly developed by Iomega with Axis Communications. Besides, Iomega StorCenter devices have a three-year warranty, activated when registering the product.
