f Masscomm integrates Spinetix digital signage with QR codes

Masscom, value-added wholesaler specialized in the marketing of telecommunications products and services, data, video conference, security and digital signage, has incorporated QR codes into Spinetix digital signage solutions.

In their quest to improve the capabilities of their systems, and more specifically in the digital signage devices of Spinetix, the wholesaler Masscom has achieved the integration of QR codes in the solutions of this firm.

According to the company, one of their distributors raised the problem that arises when offering tactile systems to achieve interactivity with digital signage.. The price of a touch monitor is high, and so that the end customer's experience is “pleasant and satisfactory”, cannot be equipped with anti-vandal systems such as safety glass. 3+3 mm.

An integration of the Spinetix system with QR codes was developed. The physical materials are the same as in non-interactive signage. Most people already use a Smartphone with Internet access and can download a QR code reader for free. With this device and this software, the user can read said code, that modifies (almost instantly) the message played on the screen. Besides, The system can be configured so that a specific previously designed web page also appears on the mobile device. This integration provides almost infinite possibilities for carrying out campaigns, improvement of tourist services, or manage contests and promotions.

System installed in hospitality business

The end client wanted a quick return on investment in a system that they could exploit to increase their sales and improve their customers' experience in their hotel establishment.. A vertical screen was installed where a playlist of photos of wine bottles from a specific winery was projected.. Simultaneously, Some “lists” of wines from that winery were prepared on paper.. The user could capture the QR code of the selected wine on the paper, automatically changing the screen and showing that specific wine with its tasting note and recommendation of skewers or dishes to combine with it.

What was not foreseen is that clients began to use social networks with the creativity that appeared on their mobile, checking in on foursquares, tweeting with a photo attached or posting on Facebook your experience.
