ARlab, the first Spanish company to develop its own augmented reality technology, has released AR Browser and Image Matching, two new solutions designed to facilitate the work of programmers and application developers.

ARlab has unveiled two innovative new augmented reality solutions to help developers create useful applications, easy and fast: AR Browser and Image Matching, as part of the company's commitment to offer a portfolio of technological solutions according to the needs of developers.

Both ARlab tools have been developed thinking about ridding the programmer of the complexity of the main augmented reality functionalities, computer vision and 3D rendering, so that the developer only has to get to work on the idea of an application. AR Browser and Image Matching have been created with ease of use in mind. For that reason, the company has also launched Linkar Developer Community as a nearby space to learn and share experiences and learn from around the world..

Pablo Garcia Morato, Chief Technology Officer, ARlab, has indicated: “The way some events are held daily could change forever with the use of augmented reality.. Actions such as reading a newspaper or magazine, or shopping will no longer be the same with the use of this fast-growing technology, that is increasingly being used by mobile application developers. ARLab primarily targets developers, and AR Browser and Image Matching are revolutionary solutions built with them in my own.”.

Geolocation with augmented reality

With AR Browser it is possible to incorporate geolocation with augmented reality in Android or iOS applications in less than 5 minutes, with a fully customizable look. You can also add and remove IPOs without updating the view. The ARlab solution allows a fully customized framework with a very simple API. The framework takes care of all the complex functionalities of the augmented reality browser. Developers only need to focus on the design of the application.

Real-time image recognition

Image Matching technology developed by ARLab enables real-time image recognition with a high success rate. This application aims to show all the capabilities of the AR Image Matching that ARLab has carefully developed. The developer will be able to integrate augmented reality SDKs into their mobile app in no time. Image Matching is a real-time image recognition engine that can compare thousands of photos within a device without an internet connection.

ARlab image comparator uses powerful smartphone hardware to complete image processing and deliver comparison results in milliseconds. The engine is very easy to use. The developers just have to add the images and the engine will start pairing without prior processing needed.
