Samsung technology will boost the new Espacio sports center 14, headquarters of the FEB
Samsung has reached an agreement with the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) by virtue of which it becomes a technological sponsor of Espacio 14, a new building located in Alcobendas (Madrid) which will be the headquarters of the Organizing Committee of the World Cup of 2014, concentration place for the National Team and will include exhibition areas for products of the South Korean brand.
Samsung will implement its latest technologies in Space 14, a new sports venue located in the Madrid town of Alcobendas that will house the Mundobasket Office 2014, with an operational office and an organizational delegation for the events of the Basketball World Cup to be held in Spain in two years. Besides, Space 14 will house the Basketball Museum, where a tour will be taken through the history of Spanish basketball. From that European of Geneva 35, where the National Team reached silver, to the two continental titles achieved in the European Championship in Poland 2009 -with Llull's shirt, the debutant in that tournament- and Lithuania 2011 (with Ibaka's).
The facilities, which will be inaugurated in the month of September, They have a recreational part with baskets, toys, dolls of players and basketball video games. Another of the references of the new space will be the NBA Center, with interactive activities for children and a basketball toy library that will be named 'Samsung Basketball Playground'. Nor will there be a lack of the already existing Ferrándiz-AS Forum and its conferences, where the biggest sports claims participate at a national and international level. In addition, The building will include the headquarters of the FEB Foundation, a FIBA Techno Center, exhibition areas for Samsung products, and it will be the place of concentration of the national teams.
Regarding the activities, It is contemplated by the organization to carry out more than 300 annual activities in Space 14, where among others, highlights, training of national teams, higher coaching courses, talent operation concentration, permanent headquarters of the B3 inter-company league, meetings of FIBA technical partners, official FEB and World Cup press conferences 2014 o CSD meetings with sports federations.
