Mobotix introduces Hemispheric S14 FlexMount camera and MxAnalytics video analytics system
The Mobotix AG headquarters in Spain has hosted the presentation of the new S14 FlexMount camera, a Hemispheric with double field of view with miniature lenses and diversity of applications, oriented to monitor two adjacent spaces, and the new MxAnalytics video analysis software, developed by the German manufacturer for the Q24 camera.
The director for Southern Europe of Mobotix AG, Jesus Garzon, and the Technical Project Manager for Iberia of the German firm, Alfredo Gutierrez, have presented the new S14 FlexMount, the world's first double Hemispheric camera, available in both mono version (S14M) as dual (S14D), and which is characterized by its miniature lenses and the diversity of its applications. As Jesús Garzón explained, The S14D can be equipped with two hemispherical lenses with integrated microphone that connect by cable to the main housing, so that a single S14 allows complete monitoring of two adjacent or overlapping spaces. Thanks to its flat shape, The modules can be installed very discreetly and can be purchased in black and white.
The S14 FlexMount allows two hemispherical lenses to be installed at the same time to completely monitor two adjacent spaces with a single S14D. With proper installation, an S14D can see what is happening around the corner and monitor indoor and outdoor spaces at the same time. Thanks to the two sensors, The S14 even allows you to generate two high-resolution 180° panoramic images with corrected distortion and 3,1 megapixels each. All other Mobotix lenses will also be available for selection soon. (from super wide angle to telephoto) in day and night version.
The S14 can be used as the world's first hemispherical day and night camera. If the two modules (with black and white and color sensors) They are installed directly next to each other covering the same area, The camera automatically chooses the ideal operating mode based on lighting conditions. Thus, In daylight the camera offers images with very real colors and, in dark environments, has a high sensitivity to light. The image is rotated and enlarged purely electronically. The user gets detailed views and other image fragments without mechanical movement and without wear and maintenance work.
Weatherproof, Discreet and low electrical consumption
Both the modules and the independent casing, with the new dual camera card, They are weather resistant according to class IP65 and work in a temperature range of -30° to +60° degrees Celsius. Its flat casing, including a Flash memory of up to 64 GB and all its external connections (Ethernet, MiniUSB, MxBus), can be mounted discreetly and perfectly protected behind a wall or ceiling covering, leaving only the lenses visible within their ultra-compact protective casings. The power supply takes place economically via the mains cable (PoE). Power consumption, less than five kilowatts per hour, It is very small.
Its technical functions and the possibility of installing the camera with great discretion allow a large number of applications. For example, in L-shaped spaces, the two sensor modules can simply be positioned at an angle, which allows the entire space to be monitored without exception. This makes the S14 very suitable for hotels, banks or retail stores, as Jesús Garzón has highlighted, where maximum discretion is necessary. The S14 can also demonstrate its advantages in security gates and offices. Mobotix also offers the necessary accessories to mount the sensor module on thicker walls.. With several extension cords of approx.. 40 mm each can pass through very deep holes drilled in a wall.
Count, measure, analyze
Representatives of the manufacturer of networked video surveillance systems for megapixel cameras have also unveiled the MxAnalytics video analysis system for the Hemispheric Q24M-Sec camera, which stands out especially for offering a complete vision of any space. It is an efficient tool for both small businesses and public establishments. (like museums or airports) that offers important information aimed at optimizing processes and carrying out marketing studies. MxAnalytics allows you to reliably record and analyze movements of people or objects in the live image. On a heat map (a movement diagram of a previously determined area), The most frequented areas are marked with colors. A large number of movements have been registered in the red zones, in the blue ones only a few.
Counting people and objects using so-called count lines is a useful tool for generating observation data.. Thanks to its quick and easy configuration (For example, to generate reports), MxAnalytics also stands out for its ease of use. Another highlight is that motion analysis results can be exported as daily reports, weekly or monthly in table form through various interfaces. Reports are collected on the camera autonomously and can be easily viewed and sent via a web interface, email or via MxControlCenter.. This takes place completely automatically and with as many addresses as desired..
Along with the count, The analysis of statistical behavioral data contributes decisively to optimizing processes and, therefore, to reduce costs. Alfredo Gutiérrez has explained that this camera is intended for non-critical solutions, highlighting that “cannot be used for evacuation”.
