New 55” multi-touch touch monitor from Elo for multimedia digital signage applications (IDS)

The monitor dealer, touch screens and multimedia products, Macroservice, has presented the new IDS 5500L touch monitor from Elo Touch Solutions that, together with the ECM3 computing module and the Intel Core i5 processor, offers a complete solution (ELO PC KIT-W7 i5 2.5G) to increase interactivity in crowded environments.

Macroservice has announced the launch of the interactive digital signage touch monitor (IDS) 55” 5500L Elo Touch Solutions, a large format display for commercial multimedia applications that provide interactivity to digital signage. Combining multi-touch touch screen technology with a “professional” large format LCD panel, The 5500L is “robust” enough to work in places with enormous influx of public.

This touch monitor can integrate a computer module, like the ECM3 with Intel Core i5 processor 2.5 GHz, to create a digital platform (ELO PC KIT-W7 i5 2.5G) compatible with content management servers and support “partitions” of cache and network information.

The 5500L model is characterized by helping to reduce power consumption and heat output through the practically flat LED-backlight panel and by the possibility of choosing between three 'pure-glass' touch screen technologies to improve visibility: optics with support for up to four touches or gestures (Windows 7), IntelliTouch(surface acoustic wave – SAW single-touch) to provide consistent reliability.

The new IDS monitor integrates 2 speakers 10 watts and optionally a three-track magnetic stripe card reader can be installed on the side, fingerprint reader and webcam 2 megapixel with microphone. The display of this large format model stands out for its image format 16:9, vertical use / horizontal, optimal resolution 1920 x 1080p HD,shine of 450 cd/m², 178º viewing angle and contrast ratio of 4000:1.
