FLIR Systems, specialist in the design and manufacture of thermal imaging cameras for a wide variety of applications, has added the new LS series thermal imaging cameras to its product catalog, an ultra-compact handheld device available in two models: the LS32 and the LS64.

The new LS series thermal vision cameras from FLIR allow law enforcement officers to see clearly in total darkness. This series makes available to law enforcement officers, security patrols and anyone else who needs to see at night without being seen the information necessary to make vital decisions; besides, improves mission effectiveness, maximizes operational capabilities and improves safety.

Sharp thermal images

FLIR LS series are equipped with a cooled microbolometer detector, maintenance free. Provides clear thermal images in any situation, day or night. The FLIR LS64 produces thermal images of 640 x 480 pixels. Users who do not need this high resolution can opt for the LS32, that produces images of 320 x 240 pixels. All cameras are equipped with advanced internal camera software that provides a sharp image without the need for user adjustments. The FLIR LS32 comes with a 2x digital zoom, while the LS64 FLIR is equipped with a 2x digital zoom, 4x and continuous electronic zoom. The FLIR LS64 is equipped with a 35 mm. Allows the detection of human targets at a distance of no less than 1.080 metros. The FLIR LS32 is equipped with a 19 mm that allows detecting a human target at a distance of 640 m.

Portable and robust

The FLIR LS Series comes with long-lasting rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and offers a typical run time of 5 a 7 hours on a single charge. When weighing 340 grams, batteries included, FLIR LS series are extremely compact and lightweight systems, ideal for all types of operations, in all circumstances. They are compatible with IP67 and operate between -20° C and +50° C.

Easy to operate

Ergonomic and easy to use, FLIR LS Series thermal cameras are fully controlled with the buttons on the top of the unit. Both versions come with a built-in laser pointer to quickly and safely locate suspects in the dark.

Exclusive InstAlert feature colors the hottest part of the scene red. This makes it easy to identify suspects in the thermal image.
