Amper will install and integrate the emergency control centers of the Montpellier firefighters
The Spanish multinational Amper will take charge of the supply, installation and integration of emergency control centers for firefighters in the French city of Montpellier. This way, Amper will install two matrices of its new GEMYC-D system, through which 23 operators will be able to manage dozens of radio resources and integrate with the Antares network.
Almost has announced that, in collaboration with its French partner Sysoco, has obtained the project for the supply, installation and integration of the emergency control centers of the Montpellier firefighters (France), that will make the present and future departmental networks of firefighters homogeneous and interoperable. Amper will install two distributed matrices of its new GEMYC-D System in the two main headquarters of the Montpelier firefighters, from where 23 operators in total will manage dozens of radio and Antares network resources, both digital and analog.
The GEMYC-D System has an architecture and functional characteristics that allow emergency management and communications in a distributed manner., integrating geographically dispersed emergency centers, and this is possible because its low-level communications layer has been designed for this purpose based on SIP signaling. (session initiation protocol) VoIP standards (voice over IP) and Tetra and TetraPol communication protocols. In addition to that, The system provides complete redundancy between the two locations, thereby ensuring control security in extreme cases.
Antares is the new dedicated TetraPol digital radio network with national coverage for firefighters and interconnects the national network of departmental networks defined by firefighters according to their own needs (department coverage, communication skills, uniform services and applications) in a context of full interoperability, with external reinforcement that comes from other firefighters, whether national or European. This homogeneity allows the use of communication services throughout the territory such as individual calls (mobility), communication groups, conferences and tactical links, status sending, resource location, emergency calls, data transmission, database access, definition of standardized routes or interfaces for integration with operational centers, inter alia.
