Gewista together with 3C! vidision, Rarebyte and Richter Solutions turn the Stephansplatz station into a curious interactive space with the help of augmented reality.

Erased (Augmented Reality in Vienna Metro)

The Austrian operator A1 has opted for an augmented reality solution for its new campaign. For the first time in the country, augmented reality has made it possible to transform the Stephansplatz metro station (One) in a fascinating digital world.

Four screens of more than 100m2 have been mounted in the installation (with projection) and about twenty screens on the columns of the station. Augmented reality allows travelers to see themselves on screens with typical “mouthpieces” comic over their heads.

A series of QR codes allows users to access applications and information about the products offered by A1.

The campaign has been developed by Erased next to 3C! vidision, Rarebyte y Richter Solutions.

Philipp Hengl, Head of Innovative Media & Ambiant, admits that “Augmented reality is uncharted territory in Austria that was explored for the first time in the making of this A1 campaign.. We are sure that we are going to see a notable evolution in this regard.”.
