JVC will launch its first 8K projector later this month in Japan

Its interesting interpolation system at 120HZ offers a higher screen resolution of up to 8K without having to increase the number of pixels.

At a price that will be around 260.000 dollars, JVC will launch its first 8K projector in Japan at the end of April. After more than four years of development (The equipment was presented in prototype at CREATEC 2008), JVC has the new DLA-VS4800 ready.

Thanks to E-Shift technology and a 120HZ interpolation system, This solution offers a higher screen resolution of up to 8K without having to increase the number of pixels. Inside we can find D-ILA panel of 4.096 x 2.400 pixels (4K, In fact).

From what we could see at CEDIA in the last two years, the effect is very convincing, and it can be an alternative while waiting for consolidation in terms of content production in these very high resolutions.
