Converged Storage: HP's largest converged storage offering at StorageDay 2013
HP's new Converged Storage solutions, presented at their StorageDay event 2013, They represent “the most significant storage set in the company's history”.
On the occasion of the launch of the new Converged Storage solutions and under the motto “Transformation without limits”, HP has celebrated in Madrid its StorageDay 2013, a storage event aimed at customers, partners and integrators, in which it has presented “the most significant set of storage innovations in the company's history and the complete update of its portfolio”.
More than five hundred professionals in the sector have participated in HP StorageDay 2013 to learn more about the new 3PAR StoreServ Storage, StoreAll Storage and StoreOnce Backup from the company, and attend the plenary session and roundtables on converged storage, information management, Big Data, Cloud Storage or information security. To which is added the exhibition area, with the participation of thirty companies.
The vice president and general director of HP Enterprise Group for Spain and Portugal, José María de la Torre (in the image), During his speech, he emphasized HP's innovation as a “reference in the world of IT”, “the power of convergence linked to services” and the four trends with capital letters: "Mobility, Cloud, Social media y Big Data”.
Carlos Preciado, director of HP Storage business unit, He focused his intervention on “limitless storage”, with data protection and obtaining value from information through data analysis as fundamental elements.
How Converged Storage Featured Ads, the company has introduced 3PAR StorageServ 7000 Storage, a cabin for smaller environments but with complete functionality, data file and block services support, with capacity for more than 320.000 operaciones input/output, disponible con HDD o SDD.
In the backup area, the new thing is StorageOnce 2000 y 4000, offering support for HP StoreOnce Catalyst software and enabling high-performance data movement and deduplication to reduce data protection costs at remote sites and data centers. Another important international announcement has been HP Moonshot, that provides significant infrastructure using a 89% less energy, and 80% less space and at a much lower price.
HP Moonshot is designed to address the restrictions of large day centers, “which are about to reach a tipping point beyond which growth is restricted due to the current economic aspects of traditional infrastructure”.
