Samsung Techwin's new full HD network video systems equip the new WiseNetIII DSP chipset developed by the company.

Samsung Techwin SNBComposed of eight models, the new range of full HD network cameras (1.080p) of 2 megapixels developed by the manufacturer Samsung Techwin incorporate the company's WiseNetIII DSP chipset, result of a research program in what is considered “the company's most important product launch in 2013”, as those responsible point out.

The new Full HD camera models, which can capture high-quality images when lighting levels are as low as 0,01 lux, They have an ultra-fast frame rate of 60 fps a 1.080p, providing sharp, latency-free images, ideal for scenes with moving subjects.

Expanding dynamic range (WDR) Improved and integrated WiseNetIII DSP chipset, with a performance greater than 100dB, can accurately produce images in brightly lit and dark scenes. At the same time, correct color is maintained by adopting adaptive tone mapping to the environment, while blurred areas are reduced thanks to Motion Artefact Reduction technology (reduction of moving elements) from Samsung.

P-iris technology (Iris I need) optimizes the iris with multiple lighting conditions in a single field of view, to capture clear images with better depth of field. The cameras also have an anti-fog function, indicated in adverse weather conditions, plus digital image stabilization (DIS), which previously only had analog chipsets, to correct the effect of wind or vibration of buildings.

By Tim Biddulph, IP product manager de Samsung Techwin Europe, “All these features may seem complicated. However, We're sure installers will find them easy to set up and will value the Simple Focus feature., “which will help them save time to adjust the mechanical focus automatically”.

Samsung Techwin SNDSamsung has introduced a new wiring system to further improve the ease and speed of installation of the new WiseNetIII models. Cables and cable glands are supplied separately in the box, so installers can easily choose the alternative option of directly connecting their own network cables, new or old, and in the case of dome cameras, They can do it without having to remove the electronic part from the rear panel.

This new range of Samsung Techwin cameras and domes can store up to 2.048 GB of video and are compatible with free video surveillance management software platform, SSM (Samsung Security Manager), allowing simultaneous monitoring and control over the network up to 1.152 devices installed in different buildings or locations.

To make smarter use of bandwidth, Samsung's smart codec technology offers facial recognition and captures up to two areas of interest in a scene with a higher resolution than the rest, in order to optimize bandwidth management.

Greater recording space and bandwidth savings can also be achieved with Samsung's third-generation Super Noise Reduction technology. (SSNRIII), which eliminates image noise in low lighting conditions. Intelligent video analysis (IVA), optional, detects activity by different means, like face detection, integrity controller and input/output direction detection…, and creates an alert if paint is sprayed on the camera lens.
