I&IMS and Samsung Techwin install an online counting system in the Telecommunications and Information Technologies Center (CTTI)

The Center for Telecommunications and Information Technologies (CTTI) of the Generalitat of Catalonia has an online counting system in the restaurant services room, installed by I&IMS in collaboration with Samsung Techwin.

With the aim of implementing innovative solutions in the different management areas and departments of the Generalitat of Catalonia and within its policy of process improvement and regulatory adaptation, the Center for Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the Generalitat of Catalonia (CTTI) you have selected the solution Information & Image Management Systems (I&IMS) online counting.

The project, in which I&IMS has collaborated with the professional security division of Samsung Techwin, was to carry out a test in the CTTI's own corporate facilities to know the occupancy volume of a specific space in real time, in order to adopt this solution to its catalog of solutions and respond to future needs of the Government and its departments.

The space chosen for this pilot experience has been the area designated for the restaurant service. (open to the general public), where the Catalan company I&MS installed its DocuRemote Counter Edition counting system.

This system with video analysis allows us to know how many people there are at any given time in a specific place, What are the hours and days of greatest influx of public?, how they are distributed and how they behave in said enclosure.

Intelligent video analysis

This counting system is based on intelligent video analysis that collects the inputs and outputs from the Samsung SNV-5080R camera, obtaining, with a reliability superior to 95%, the number of people there at any given time in CTTI's restaurant services and reporting said capacity in real time through different media and formats.

The system also allows you to export the data obtained for statistical analysis., so that resources can be adjusted, better understand what is happening and make decisions based on the data obtained. In the event that the venue exceeds the established capacity limit, Alarms are automatically generated by SMS or email to the recipients established by the client.

The Samsung Techwin SNV-5080R video surveillance camera is installed above the entry and exit line of the access door to said room. The intelligent image analysis required by the people counting service requires that the selected camera has a proven image quality, that guarantees its reliability and the proper functioning of the system.

The software is installed on any computer with IP access, so that it can be consulted from any mobile device via TCP/IP (Internet, LAN, WAN,…) the number of people in real time, Occupancy statistics at intervals of a quarter of an hour up to an hour, or search data by the selected date.
