Sony presents five new IP cameras with Ipela Engine signal processing technology
The multinational Sony has expanded its range of IP cameras with five new models, of the W series and with the model SNC-VB635, that incorporate its Ipela Engine signal processing system.
The new network video surveillance cameras reinforce the offer of Sony for outdoor applications and expand the company's entry- and mid-range product series into new markets.
In this sense, The new V-series models are suitable for demanding video surveillance applications in large areas, while the SNC-VB635 network camera is specially designed for environments with extremely low light conditions.
Ryan Kawashima, Strategic Marketing Manager for Video Surveillance at Sony Europe, points out that this technological development responds to the company's philosophy of “continuously seeking ways to expand and improve its product offering.”, and all of them meet the specific needs of the video surveillance sector, where sony is, again, industry leader in camera features and image quality”.
The five new models include the Ipela Engine technological platform. Specifically, The SNC-VB635 camera incorporates Ipela Engine EX technology and the W series has been the first to use Ipela Engine Pro. They also integrate Sony's View-DR wide dynamic range technologies.; XDNR noise reduction and maximum frame rate (60 frames per second) at HD/full HD resolution.
The SNC-WR600 and WR602 cameras, that complement the company's W series range, feature 30x optical zoom features; turning speed up to 700 degrees per second and 130 dB wide dynamic range, to provide crystal clear image quality, even in environments with strong backlight, thanks to the Ipela Engine Pro signal processing system.
In the W series range, also made up of the SNC-WR630 and WR632 cameras, They also have new functions, such as gyroscopic image stabilization, images with defogging and focal plane distortion correction to deliver stable images in adverse weather conditions.
The W series includes two indoor models in HD and full HD, and two fully integrated outdoor ones in HD and full HD, that have IP66 and IK ratings 10, to withstand acts of vandalism and very resistant to water, Ideal for demanding video surveillance applications in large areas, like airports, stadiums and casinos, as well as for urban areas and perimeters.
The SNC-WR630 and WR632 models (full HD) They will be available through Sony's product distribution channel starting next December, while the HD models will begin marketing in January 2013.
Maximum light sensitivity
Thanks to its high light sensitivity and full HD resolution, The SNC-VB635 camera has been designed for the most demanding applications, as urban video surveillance, transport and energy installations. This still camera features a ½-inch Exmor CMOS sensor and produces exceptional image quality., even in low light conditions.
SNC-VB635, which will be available on the market in December 2013, It also has a real day/night function, Ipela Engine EX technology, View-DR, XDNR, VE, DEPA Advanced and an RS-485 port for pan and tilt control of the head.
