Roland Systems Group has premiered in WHEREAS 2014, the new VR-3EX, Its latest all-in-one audio/video mixer that strengthens and expands the growing line of mixers for live production and recording solutions. Includes an audio mixer, a video mixer, touch screen, and USB port for recording and streaming. The unit updates the most basic model, el Roland VR-3 añadiéndole HDMI inputs/outputs, including a scaler to deliver signals up to 1080p and WUXGA, with HDCP support and more 200 transitions and effects. Includes a digital mixer 18 audio channels with effects.

Its innovative design incorporates a video switcher, an audio mixer, touchscreen preamps and a USB port ready for streaming or recording in a single unit. The video inputs 1 a 3 accept Composite (RCA) o HDMI (SD only) while the entrance 4 accepts HDMI, RGB/Component or Composite video. Output has the ability to scale up to 1080p resolutions via HDMI or Component, 1920×1200 (WUXGA) via RGB or SD (NTSC/PAL) via Composite. An additional HDMI output is included for an external preamp monitor.

Designed to be combined as a live switcher and webstreaming device, The Roland VR-3EX incorporates audio embedding and audio mixer with delay controls on each input and on the USB for easy audio and video synchronization. Supports HDCP content, allowing the management of copyrighted signals such as video game consoles and Blu-ray in live production. Compositing effect like Chroma key or Luma key, as well as Picture in Picture, allow the overlay of titles/logos or use virtual backgrounds. The HDMI inputs of 1 a 3 accept resolutions up to 480p/576p and input 4 accepts HDMI resolutions up to 1080p and RGB resolutions up to WUXGA (1920×1200). Although the internal process is based on SD, Output can be upscaled up to 1080p or 1920x1200.

Audio

The audio mixer 18 channels consists of 4 XLR/TRS inputs with phantom power, RCA stereo, stereo minijack as well as embedded audio from the four HDMI inputs. The mixer offers for each channel, delay, EQ, Puerta, and Compressor, that can be applied to each channel improving the audio and ultimately the quality of the production.
