d&b expands its line of installation speakers with the xC Series for environments with difficult acoustics
The xC Series from d&b audiotechnik is made up of three models that have been designed with environments where acoustics present difficulties, such as auditoriums, in mind., public spaces, conference rooms or churches.
d&b audiotechnik has added to its Blanca range the new line of column speakers for installation of the xC Series, that offer the same quality of the xS Series and xA Series.
The xC Series, which includes three models (16C, 24C y 24C-E), They are designed to integrate seamlessly into difficult acoustic and aesthetic environments., from churches to conference rooms, auditoriums and public spaces, anywhere where the requirement for good speech intelligibility must be combined with good external appearance.
The xC Series uses vertical directivity control to focus the output towards the listeners and reduce the energy emitted into the reverberant field. The 24C passive speaker 2 vias has a nominal dispersion of 90° x 20° (h x v) with a high frequency arrangement (HF) which can be continuously adjusted mechanically between 0° and -14° in the vertical plane. These features are combined with a low frequency section (LF), featuring six 4” motors that produce a beam with a fixed 5° downward tilt and significant vertical dispersion control of up to 370 Hz.
The 24C-E extension, with six more 4” motors, can be connected directly to the 24C thus increasing its dispersion control pattern up to 190 Hz, without any additional amplification or processing.
The 16C speaker is the smallest in the series and houses four 4” drivers and a 0.75” compression driver mounted on a constant directivity horn. (CD), to produce a nominal spread of 90° x 40° (h x v).
4 engines″ They are deployed in a unique cardioid configuration that emits through waveguide elements on the front and slot-cancelling ports on the back of the case.. This design provides a constant directivity pattern in the horizontal plane with broadband attenuation at the back of, approximately,18 dB.
This cardioid pattern produces minimal energy behind the speaker, reduces reflections and the result is a balanced distribution of the pressure level throughout the listening area and, at the same time, an increase in gain before feedback when working with open microphones. A specifically designed bracket can be attached to the two continuous rails on the back of the xC Series enclosures., allowing flat and parallel mounting on the wall.
Operatives with D6, D12 the D80
xC Series works with D6 amplifiers, D12 the D80, providing three different power ranges, incorporate speaker-specific configuration information&b and have analog and digital signal inputs and connectors.
These amplifiers incorporate d remote control network interfaces&b, that allow you to control and monitor system functions through the D Remote Control R1 software platform.&b and connection to other multimedia environments.
These features offer extensive system integration capabilities, an increasingly important factor in installed systems.
