The TVE news services set is renovated and a large 4K video wall is installed as a central element
TVE's news programs have released a new image with a 4K video wall as a key element of the set, the first to be implemented in a news studio in Europe and whose project has been carried out by Telefónica.
Since yesterday Tuesday 18 March, TVE's news programs will offer their viewers a new aesthetic where technology and a large high-resolution video wall prevail.
The new set, built in the same space as the previous one, Torrespaña Studio A1, It is an evolution of the previous image. The dominance of white colors and the simplicity of volumes are maintained, and the main novelty is two large mobile screens that will surround the image set.. An element with its own personality that will promote the viewer's immersive experience in the news.
Videowall 4K
The heart of the new set is a large video wall with 4K resolution, the first to be implemented in a news studio in Europe. The installation of the new giant screen has been carried out Telefónica through a contract 757.000 euros. The contract, awarded at the end of December 2013 It consisted of two projects: the purchase of LED screens to create the video wall 565.152 euros and the installation of a control and content generation system by 192.000 euros.
The signals of the new 4K video wall are powered by the TDControl system of Run that allows you to rearrange the different elements with which each background is made, depending on the frame used in the camera. In this way, both the director and the mixer can open different compositions on the big screen, assign different video sources to each of the two parts of the video wall and fill it with graphics and correlating data manually or automatically.
This screen has a moving part on a remotely controlled rail, allowing different positions and framing planes.
The new set has seven robotic cameras: four on pedestal, a microcamera housed within the set itself, a CamRail on a curved tracking shot and a hot head (Scorpio MiniHead). As they are robotic, the presence of operators on the set is not necessary., being able to move all the cameras from a console located in the camera control, also programming their movements in planes with great dynamism and visual enhancement.
