The Grandview towers of T2 at London Heathrow Airport have become the showcase of the latest samsung news. A campaign that inaugurates this advertising space that is managed by JCDecaux.

Over the next twelve months, the campaign of Samsung can be seen in the Grandview towers of Heathrow's T2 which opened its doors last June. These digital signage spaces are managed by JCDecaux Airport UK, in collaboration with Cheil UK. “This is the ideal showcase to promote Samsung products, given its high visibility and impact", comments Russell Taylor, Vice President Corporate Marketing en Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland.

Grandview is Heathrow's most prominent outdoor digital advertising medium. It is a three-sided pyramidal platform that is located above the main entrance roads to the terminals 2 and 3, and the output of T2. A strategic place to capture the attention of passengers from three different directions.

Terminal Queen: a digital signage world

The terminal 2 of Heathrow Airport, also called Terminal Queen, opened its doors last June offering a space with great opportunities for advertisers through the more than one hundred digital signage screens that have been installed, integrating them into the structure of the building.

Screens that have had the technology of NEC Display Solutions. As already announced Digital AV Magazine, the Japanese firm was awarded to supply more than a thousand LCD displays, including public displays and Flight Information Display System drivers (FIDS) with which it is possible to guarantee efficiency in all the flight information needs of the terminal, ranging from check-in, departures and boarding gates, to the location of security control and retail stores.

“Advertising is part of the structure of Heathrow and this new terminal has adopted the same approach that we started in T5. The panels and screens have been designed in collaboration with the architects as part of the construction plans. It is this integration that guarantees its effectiveness.. with 16 millions of passengers who pass through the terminal each year and 26 Airlines, brands have a unique opportunity to communicate with customers over 50 destinations", explains Nick Webb, Head of Advertising, Heathrow Airport Sponsorship and Expo.

The new communication space at Heathrow, which is managed by JCDecaux Airport, Incorporates, in addition to the hundred screens, four others of large format and spectacular design: Couture Portals, of 7,5 by 1,7 metre, located at the entrance of the area where the luxury shops of the terminal are located; Digital Towers (of 11,5 X 4,8 metre) formed by a network of six screens, T2 Motion by 6,9 X 1,7 metre, located in the lobby, and GranViews. The latter has a three-sided pyramidal exterior structure that is located at the entrance of the terminal
