SLS Las Vegas resort offers new visual concept powered by Daktronics
Daktronics has designed for the SLS Las Vegas 12 LED screens that offer a new visual concept with more immersive experiences, attractive and dynamic. The largest of these facilities is a spectacular canopy located outside measuring 26.8×14,3 metros.
The SLS Las Vegas is a resort 24.384 square meters, divided into three towers, that integrates a hotel with 1.600 rooms, nine restaurants, three clubs, a spa with a beauty salon and a casino, as well as different stores. This complex is located on the site where the legendary Sahara hotel was located and after a restoration of 415 million dollars opened its doors last summer. Daktronics was selected by SBE, owner of the SLS Las Vegas, in association with KT Corporation, to offer dynamic visual experiences both inside and outside the complex. This company has been in charge of the design and manufacture of 12 screens that integrate a total of 23 millions of LEDs. Daktronics partnered with Vision Sign to manage the installation of outdoor video screens at the SLS Las Vegas.
The largest screen that Daktronics has installed at the resort is located outside on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard. It is a spectacular four-sided marquise that measures 26,8 x 14,3 meters and has a distance between pixels of 15 mm. In its design they have used 7.100 LED modules and displays like a 'beacon’ that welcomes visitors by displaying spectacular artistic content.
A Starck Frame has also been installed on Las Vegas Boulevard, a visual support configured by 485 LED modules and a distance between pixels of 10 mm where marketing and artistic content is displayed.
Near the entrance to the SLS Las Vegas, in paradise, The second Starck Frame is located, formed by 385 LED modules and a distance between pixels of 10 mm that entertains guests and visitors with dazzling artistic content.
The second largest screen is hanging above the iconic Center Bar. Made up of more than 2,1 million LED pixel and configured by 910 modules, offers a total of 277,3 square meters of display.
Seven screens are installed in the DJ booth., one of 6 mm that covers its interior and consists of 75 LED modules, and the other six are located on the sides and serve to offer a better experience to the public..
Finally, The dance floor of the nightclub is covered by a display of 34,48 square meters made up of 95 modules that create a dynamic atmosphere that surrounds customers.
French designer Philippe Starck oversaw the restoration of the SLS Las Vegas and helped reconfigure the location to give this resort a gaming space of 56.000 square meters with about 800 slot machines, 74 game tables and a high-end gaming area.
A sports book that is operated by William Hill and nine restaurants and three nightspots feature many of SBE's well-known brands, including Umami Burger, the Mediterranean Cleo, the Japanese Katsuya, 800 Degrees Pizza and Sayers Club Entertainment Lounge. Besides, Popular Los Angeles retailer Fred Segal has seven locations on the property.
