InMediaStudio creates a 360º and immersive visual experience with Oculus Rift in its short film 'Empathy'
Made with 360º video technology for viewing with Oculus Rift immersive devices, 'Empathy' is the latest documentary project from the Spanish company InMediaStudio Comunicación, based on real events of children suffering from intestinal failure and their families, which is presented for the first time at the Inspirational Festival 2014.
The VIII edition of Festival Inspirational, dedicated to advertising and digital communication organized by IAB Spain he 26 y 27 November at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, has been the framework chosen by InMediaStudio to release 'Empathy', his latest project with Oculus Rift immersive technology and recorded entirely with 360º video technology.
In the Innovation Talk area of the festival, The company has a technological stand with the system Oculus Rift for the user to experience this documentary story in first person, based on real events, which aims to be a call for support to raise awareness about multivisceral transplant and the importance of organ donation.
The short film 'Empathy' shows, in mockumentary format shot with the new 360º video systems that capture everything and generate a sensation of hyperreality in the viewer, the story of these children members of Nupa, Spanish association that provides help to children with intestinal failure and parental nutrition, to bring this disease closer to the public in a unique and innovative way.
Filmed at the La Paz Children's Hospital in Madrid, The new point of view generated by the so-called 360º narrative allows the viewer to be placed at the center of the story, as protagonist, and tour the hospital like the children of Nupa do, permanently attached to the parenteral nutrition system that allows them to feed themselves (in a wheelchair or with a drip foot).
