Samsung Electronics has officially presented the Curved UHD S9W television, a team of 105 inches that is cataloged by its manufacturer as the largest in the world within its category. “We have tried to create a window to the world with a unique immersive feeling that allows users to discover new possibilities.. Its size and features make it a Premium television designed to enjoy an immersive cinematic experience that captures all the senses.”, comments Raúl Martín, director of CE division at Samsung Electronics
With a Timeless Gallery design and anodized aluminum finish, The Samsung S9W has been built taking care of even the smallest details, with speakers integrated into the frame to deliver surround sound. Your widescreen 21:9 offers a resolution of 11 million pixels (5120X2160), five times more than a Full HD device, capable of adjusting any content to UHD resolution, gracias al UHD Upscaling. On the other hand, Peak Illuminator image quality technology, Samsung's own, is able to distinguish differences in brightness, even with very dark images.
The curved screen design of S9W 105 inches provides a greater field of vision since it generates a greater perception than that of flat televisions. Besides, creates a panoramic effect that absorbs the viewer. This field of vision generates more realistic sensations, since areas of the eye that are much more sensitive to moving images are stimulated. Its curvature improves the image perceived by the viewer from any angle, visually immersing them in the center of the action.
The S9W television has a curvature radius of 4,2 metros, which is close to the appropriate viewing distance for UHD televisions, much shorter than the distance for FHD (8 meters approximately). Its image quality and density of pixels per inch allows images to be viewed from a distance of 1,8 metros.
To reinforce that cinematic and immersive feeling, this television has Autodepth Enhancer, technology that gives images a depth that brings them closer to 3D without glasses. Besides, PurColour achieves a more natural color treatment, capturing the images as the director conceived them.
This team was announced at IFA 2014, as already published Digital AV Magazine, and will be available in the Spanish market from 2015.
