Barco presents integrated and convergent visual collaboration systems for control centers

Developed to improve the visualization of critical information and decision making, Barco presents these days at the DistribuTech contest 2015 an integrated visual collaboration proposal, form por videowalls, collaboration software and high-speed drivers.

The Belgian multinational Barco continues to advance in the development of systems that improve the capacity of companies and decision making with visual collaboration systems, like those currently exhibited in the contest DistribuTech 2015 (stand 1539), held at the San Diego Convention Center (California – United States).

High-performance video walls are found in this integrated proposal, Collaboration software and high-speed drivers to efficiently capture, display and share dynamic data and video insights between control room operators to facilitate decision making.

These solutions are convergent and facilitate the distribution of different sources of critical operational information in control centers., connecting visually, from different mobile devices and regardless of the physical location in which decision makers or field teams are located in a distributed and secure collaboration environment.

With this proposal, the company promotes intelligent convergence between IT and OT departments for integrated knowledge of the situation.. In this sense, Barco's mission-critical Control Room Management software delivers a common operating picture to foster collaboration across teams, providing updated data in real time.

To improve the visual collaboration experience, Barco completes this solution with the OverView OL-721 video wall, with LED lighting and without disruptive separation between screens specially designed for control rooms, with a redundant power system. OverView OL-721 integrates the firm's NoGap technology to deliver an ergonomic viewing experience (no dead angles), Detailed and continuous EMS data.

Added to this is also the KVD5521 LCD video screen, that with a size of 55 inches has been optimized to offer 24×7 the highest image quality, with SenseX automatic color system and brightness calibration to ensure perfect balance. Optionally has redundant remote power supply.

Another of Barco's novelties in its technological evolution in Led videowall is a system of 1,6 mm. optimized especially for control rooms, with a duration of more than 100.000 precisely balanced hours and colors.

The company is also carrying out demos of the integrated operation of its CMS with the X20 operational intelligence platform PI Coresight from OSIsoft, delivering an enhanced visual collaboration layer of real-time data to globally dispersed operators to deliver a higher level of situational awareness and critical decision making.
