Based on the Praesideo digital system, Bosch has designed a network solution with eight controllers, 90 power amplifiers and more 2.500 speakers, that allow the distribution of sound and messages in the common areas of the Saint Petersburg exhibition center, Expoforum.

Bosch Security Systems has designed a network public address system for Expoforum, the new convention and exhibition center in Russia's second largest city, Saint Petersburg.

Expoforum is a modern exhibition space, conventions and forums, where cultural and sporting events are also held. In its first stage, inaugurated in 2014, The venue has three exhibition pavilions, with a total of 40.000 square meters of covered exhibition space, a conference center, two hotels, a business center and customs service, as well as open-air and underground parking. In a second phase, additional pavilions and parking will be built.

Expoforum operators needed a multi-zone public address system that covered all common areas, including exhibition halls, the convention center and outdoor areas. It had to be suitable for making public announcements and playing background music in normal situations, while serving as a voice evacuation system in case of emergency.

The solution had to respond to the needs posed by the exhibition halls, outdoor areas and the convention center, guaranteeing perfect intelligibility throughout the premises. Another important requirement was that it be integrated with the existing complex global security system..

Based on the Praesideo digital system, Bosch has designed a network solution with eight controllers, some 90 power amplifiers and more 2.500 speakers, allowing very specific distribution of sound and messages.

All components are networked via TCP/IP for audio and control data transmission. Due to the close integration of all subsystems, The solution can be easily configured and managed remotely from multiple operator stations. Plus standard password protection, The public address system is also secured against unauthorized connections of external devices, making it highly resistant to manipulation.

The speakers chosen for this project are of the type used for evacuations and have an EN54-24 certificate. The operating status and connections are continuously monitored to ensure solution availability.

Although the Praesideo solution covers the current infrastructure, It is intended to be expanded at the same time as the exhibition center. Due to its modular and flexible architecture, The solution can be easily expanded to include additional pavilions as they are added without needing to modify the basic design of the solution..
