Sony adds four new models to its range of 3LCD laser projection and lamps
Sony's new VPL-FH65 and VPL-FH60 lamp and VPL-FHZ65 and VPL-FHZ60 laser projectors are designed to meet different installation and budget needs in business environments, academics and large venues.
The medium brightness projector division of Sony has been expanded with two 3LCD models with Z-Phosphor laser light source (VPL-FHZ65 y VPL-FHZ60), which thus join the first of this type currently on the market, the system of 4.000 VPL-FHZ55 lumens especially suitable for small rooms, and to the projector 7.000 VPL-FHZ700L lumens, designed for large commercial venues with educational purposes, corporate, government and museum.
For applications where the use of a lamp-based projector is more appropriate, The new VPL-FH65 and VPL-FH60 incorporate new features to provide high-quality performance of 6.000 y 5.000 lumens, respectively, with BrightEra panel technology to reproduce rich, natural colors.
For your part, WUXGA laser systems (1.920×1.200) They provide a shine 6.000 lumens (VPL-FHZ65) y 5.000 lumens (VPL-FHZ60), with new features like Reality Creation and Contrast Enhancer. The first is a Super Resolution algorithm that analyzes and processes each input signal to refine details., clarity and sharpness to deliver natural optimized images.
Contrast enhancement function (Contrast Enhancer) adjusts the visible contrast on the screen automatically to provide optimal viewing and details. Both features enhance visual experiences, regardless of the projector in which they are installed.
For those customers who require maximum precision color reproduction, New projectors offer space adjustment and color correction functions. With the first, coordinates of red primary components can be adjusted, green and blue, plus choose from three different color space presets. Color correction function allows you to adjust the tone, the brightness and saturation of six different color ranges.
Robert Meakin, Sony Professional Europe B2B Projector Product Marketing Manager, has assured that “we have a very simple product strategy when it comes to projectors based on UHP lamp and laser technology.”, We offer both types to our partners and clients.. This way they can decide for themselves what best suits their needs.. “The introduction of these four new models continues this strategy and provides our customers with an unprecedented level of image quality.”.
Specifically, “thanks to Sony's Z-Phosphor laser light engine, The new projectors guarantee the ability to bring customers closer to more immersive visual experiences - Meakin points out -. Whatever the requirements, Customers can benefit from the advantages of laser projection or the cost-effectiveness of lamp projectors, always guaranteeing the best image quality”.
The new laser models feature all the benefits of laser technology in a newly designed chassis. A laser light source means no lamp needs to heat up or cool down slowly, It neither limits the tilt angle nor compromises the quality between high and low resolution..
‘Quick On/Off’ projectors need only seven seconds to increase brightness after turning on. Besides, There is a 'quick reboot' mode that allows users to do it in just a second, for a user-predefined time of ten minutes or thirty minutes after turning off the projector, which is very useful for those facilities where there are presentation intervals between classes or meetings.
The laser light source offers up to 20.000 hours of maintenance-free operation. Combined with a variety of energy-saving functions, Total lifetime costs of ownership are significantly reduced compared to conventional lamp-based projectors. Besides, incorporate a constant brightness mode to maintain the brightness level throughout the estimated life of the light source, since they activate the projector with a reduced light output by a 25% approximately.
The four new models integrate HDBaseT interfaces, facilitating connectivity and reducing overall system costs by using a single cable category that runs through the entire video, audio, control and IP signal up 100 metros.
These systems have a new integrated terminal cover that makes it easy to install without cables visible from any angle, which also helps to manage cables without connecting an external one to the converters; otherwise, the installation would be more cumbersome.
They also include a wide motorized lens shift, which facilitates installation in difficult environments, For example, maintaining the audience's line of sight by placing the projector above the screen, or horizontally, which avoids vents in the roof.
Projectors can be combined with a wide variety of optional lenses to suit any installation, such as short range 0,65:1 and a telephoto lens that covers up to 4,84:1, and offer the bayonet mount system that makes it quick and easy to exchange lenses.
The planned availability of these new projectors in the European market this year for laser models: VPL-FHZ65 láser WUXGA (August of 2015); VPL-FHZ60 (September), and for the lamp ones: VPL-FH60 (October) y VPL-FH65 (November).
