The recent British elections and, specifically, the live debate of the main political leaders who attended them, has counted on the MediorNet networks and the Riedel Artist intercom system so that the transport of video data and signals in real time to the main TV channels and the Hub Media Center was carried out with total reliability and without problems.

The debate with the political leaders who attended the British elections, held a few weeks ago with the result of David Cameron's absolute majority, which took place at the production complex MediaCityUK in Manchester by Dock10, is technologically supported by a robust communications solution Riedel.

Specifically in its Artist digital matrix intercom system and in the MediorNet network to allow flexible and reliable transport of video in real time, data and intercom signals to the three main Sky networks, BBC and ITV, as well as the Hub Media Center where more than three hundred journalists followed the debate.

With such a reliable signal transport solution, “The Dock10 technology team was able to deliver everything that was asked of them on such a demanding day.”.

In the case of this electoral debate, Dock10, technology provider of important TV programs in the United Kingdom, was able to use fiber connectivity throughout the venue to link all areas at MediaCityUK and enable broadcasts to and from a large number of broadcasters. MediorNet CWDM option enhanced this capability, in addition to guaranteeing flexibility and reliability in signal delivery.

The different ITV ITV contribution signals were processed in HQ3, giving Dock10 service, via MediorNet, to the square in front of MediaCityUK, in which different mobile units were arranged to cover the event. A second MediorNet was used in the Media Hub Center, where accredited journalists could follow the debate and other television signals.

For Paul Rivens, Managing Director of Riedel in the United Kingdom, “Our MediorNet and Artist systems have been designed to offer total versatility and quality in the dissemination of events of all types. We have worked closely with Dock10 on a variety of high-profile productions, and the company did, one more time, “the best use of our equipment to support an important event such as the debate prior to the general elections in the United Kingdom”.
