Vueling creates a campaign based on augmented reality to promote its flights

Vueling launches hand in hand with iwall in shop has carried out a marketing campaign to communicate the more than 160 destinations offered for the summer season. An action that had augmented reality as its protagonist and that provoked the interaction of users to participate in a contest. This campaign has been carried out between 11 and the 13 June in six shopping centers in Spain.
To participate in this promotional campaign, users had to find the yellow interactive iwall bearing the Vueling logo. The screen showed a closed airplane door and two-way speakers warned the public not to open the door.. However, Anyone who dared to do so and activated the crank discovered that a stewardess was hiding behind it, congratulating them on the prize they had just won., from discounts to free flights.
The user could print the prize obtained and take a photograph to immortalize the moment and could share it on social networks from the website that Vueling had created for the campaign..
Iwall in shop is a company that has more than 700 digital screens deployed in Spain and Peru, above all, in the shopping center sector. For this project, the company has provided augmented reality techniques, with motion detection and hyperdirectional sound that have allowed us to create a high-impact engagement experience.
Vueling will carry out more than 60.000 flights between June and September, putting more than eleven million seats on sale, and 13% more than in 2014 with new destinations to Trieste, Ancona, Verona or Lampedusa in Italy; Zaragoza in Spain; Manchester, Birmingham and Belfast in the United Kingdom; Dublin in Ireland; Rotterdam in Holland; Madeira and Algarve in Portugal; Accra, a Ghanaian; Sal, in Cape Verde; Yerba, in Tunisia; and Carpathians, Lesbos, Lemnos, Samos and Kefalonia in Greece.
