AdHoc Studios bets on Sony's 4K digital projection for its post-production room

Cinematography Pereira, Sony Solutions Specialist in the Iberian Peninsula, has supplied and installed the Sony SRX-R510P 4K digital cinema projector in the main mixing room of this audio post-production specialist.

AdHoc Studios has become the first Spanish audio post-production company to acquire the SRX-R510P 4K projector from Sony, which has been supplied and installed by Cinematography Pereira, Sony Solutions Specialist at its Madrid headquarters.

The SRX-R510P projects sharp, detailed, high-contrast 4K images on an 8.5 inch screen.×4 meters in the large main mixing room (with a surface of 250 square meters) by AdHoc Studios, and is complemented by the system Dolby Atmos, to create truly immersive 360° multi-channel cinematic sound.

As Javier Valdés explains, AdHoc Studios partner, “We wanted to offer our clients (film directors, producers, sound mixers and sound designers) the ideal image and sound conditions, as if it were a top-class cinema, so that they achieve an impeccable result in the sound completion of a cinematographic work and that the viewer lives an experience in the cinema as it was conceived in the studio. “We compared numerous projection solutions on the market and it was clear that Sony 4K offered the best image quality on screen.”.

Boris manifests himself along these same lines, also partner of this post-production company: “The difference is evident in the level of detail, color and contrast offered by 4K resolution. Clients are increasingly approaching us with projects that, ultimately, will be displayed in 4K, in the cinema or on Ultra HD televisions. It doesn't make any sense to us, not even for our clients, play that content in a resolution lower than 2K”.

Sony SRX-R510P shares many features as the SRX-515P projector, like a compact body, Integrated Media Block and SXRD technology. Its rugged high-pressure mercury matrix (HPM) offers an output of 9.000 lumens from each of the four lamps 450 W (which can be replaced individually) and the customer has the possibility of choosing between different objectives of the high-quality real 4K 2D projector to adapt to different room sizes.

This projector, with a contrast ratio of 4.000:1, Features a 15" touch panel user interface″, and can also be controlled remotely via a networked PC and web browser.
