Sony brings 4K projection to the Cinema room 1410 from the hotel 1231

The VPL-VW760ES laser cinema projector from Sony, with 4K resolution and SXRD technology, has been the system chosen for the new Cinema room 1410, in which guests of this emblematic hotel in Poland can enjoy a unique atmosphere with the best image and sound quality.

Located in the ruins of an ancient Teutonic castle in the Polish city of Torun, he hotel 1231 consists of two buildings connected by an underground passageway, in which those responsible operate with the maxim of this area “a place where the past meets the present and nature meets culture”.

In addition to enjoying a unique atmosphere, not only in the comfortable rooms or in its lush garden, guests have a movie theater, called Cinema 1410, designed with professional projection equipment, sound and more by the Polish specialist Avalon Olgierd Lichocinsk, and adapted to the architecture of the hotel.

“From the beginning we knew how combine modernity and history in a single concept. Toruń is a city that hosts numerous film events and festivals, and we provide high quality technological solutions, perfectly integrated into the historical environment of the space. Nowadays, Cinema 1410 It is one of the most beautiful and intimate rooms in Poland and is equipped with the Sony VPL-VW760ES laser projector”, explains Olgierd Lichocinski, of Avalon.  

It is 4K cinema projector from Sony, con SXRD technology combined with a laser light source and Motionflow, was chosen for this project due to its technical parameters, its optics and digital focus optimizer, to deliver sharp, detailed images, with intense blacks.

The HDR technology (high dynamic range) allows you to take full advantage of the potential of discos Blu-ray UHD and video streaming services. The VPL-VW760ES projector's powerful image processor uses Motionflow, that provides movements with fluidity and clarity when playing 4K movies. The laser light source requires virtually no maintenance and allows the device to be used for 20.000 hours.

Unique atmosphere

The Cinema room 1410 from the hotel 1231 has capacity for twenty-three people in very comfortable conditions and has an extensive and varied programming. Sony's high-quality 4H HDR projection comes complete with a ssound system Dolby Atmos THX.
