This powerful software focuses on low-medium intensity content at the pixel level to reduce the so-called 'smear' effect, without affecting the decrease in brightness and image quality during playback in simulation and training environments.

Christie Accuframe Pro

With the aim of offering a high quality visual experience in simulation environments, Christie has developed AccuFrame Pro, software that reduces the 'smear' effect - which can negatively impact training and coaching by causing a simulated environment to provide false visual and motion cues -, without reducing the brightness that shortening the playback time of each image in a simulator can cause.

Christie Matrix SIMCurtis Lingard, Christie Product Manager, explains that “by reducing the 'smear' effect at the pixel level, Images become sharper and movement appears more realistic. AccuFrame Pro eliminates the need for extra projectors to compensate for loss of brightness, focusing on low to medium intensity content, which is where simulated content often fails.”.

AccuFrame Pro is activated with license for any Matrix StIM WQ projector, Matrix SIM WQ and Mirage WQ-L already existing, which allows improving facilities already in operation without the need to purchase higher resolution projectors.

This Christie software for simulation and training environments enhances dynamic image quality, both at 60Hz and 120Hz, no loss of shine.

flight training

One of the successful examples of AccuFrame Pro is the contract that Aero Simulation Inc. (BUT) has signed with Christie, that affects the display system intended for updating the operational flight training training provided with the T-45C aircraft at its Meridian Naval Air Station ( Mississippi – USA).

Training system updates, supported by Christie Matrix StIM-WQ projectors equipped with Accuframe Pro, offers the full spectrum of images needed for pilot training.

Christie 3432-StIM-WQAs Vlad Argintaru explains, ASI Chief Visual Systems Engineer, “AccuFrame Pro represents a huge improvement over traditional methods of smear reduction and, thanks to Christie simulation projectors, The result has been an increase in dynamic resolution. While the usual methods involve a significant reduction in image brightness, AccuFrame Pro effectively controls smear, while minimizing gloss loss”.

A highlight of the benefits of this software is “for the simulation program of an aircraft such as T-45C, which due to its speed requires the maximum possible reduction of 'smear' in the image and a high brightness to support the training objectives of night landings on aircraft carriers that use landing assistance systems", this expert emphasizes

Christie is showing at the I/ITSEC competition (stand 2627), held in Orlando (USA) until the 4 December, the possibilities of AccuFrame Pro, where a three-channel display from this company replicates a simulation in an aerial model at 120Hz using the Matrix StIMWQ system.
