Moment Factory flies over the Muse Drones World Tour stage with 3D systems and interactive content
The world tour of the British rock band Muse arrives in Europe backed by success and criticism during their concerts in the United States, not only for its music but for its innovative and avant-garde scenery, that for his album 'Drones' he uses these drones flying over the runway, large projection screens and 3D technology created by Moment Factoy.
Moment Factory has partnered with the internationally acclaimed band Muse to design and create the visual elements and interactive content for their Drones World Tour 2015/2016, a tour that arrives this year in Europe after being acclaimed by critics and fans in its tour of stadiums on several continents as one of the most exciting and innovative live musical events to date.
3D technologies, spectacular effects and interactive content created specifically by this company for this band's world tour, which “features some of our most innovative and ambitious work to date in the concert world”, they assure from Moment Factory.
The staging of each concert already indicates its uniqueness: a stage with a rotating platform located in the center of the track (in the round, and similar to the one used by U2 in their 360º Tour), with two extended catwalks at each end of the stage with huge projection screens, and this is just the beginning of a tandem in which the band's music and the latest audiovisual technology surprise and impact the audience throughout the concert..
In addition to offering with this design an incredible sensory experience to all its fans, The band also uses drones that fly over the audience at all concerts., equipped with a camera that provides 360º visual content.
As Dominic Audet points out, co-founder and head of innovation at Moment Factory, “Muse has always been progressive in its concepts, without fear of implementing new experiences in their concerts, that advance design and interactive media”, and the company has been able to respond to these premises.
Specifically, Moment Factory uses a sophisticated and innovative 3D camera system in each concert of the band that monitors it in real time., along with one of the largest BlackTrax 3D tracking systems ever deployed, which has 38 infrared cameras to coordinate and create visual effects, light and sound, particle process, I-Mag distortion and mosaic effects custom created for Muse tour.
Oli Metcalfe, lighting designer and Muse productions since its inception, He is also responsible for this show. To show the images inspired by the songs from their latest album and which gives its name to the tour -Drones-, Moment Factory uses twelve high-luminosity projectors from the Belgian firm Barco.
These are apocalyptic figures, epic battles, symbols and other technological surprises that appear in this avant-garde set while the band's musicians move around the circular stage.
“There is a lot of new interactive and 3D technology in this show that has never been put on tour before,” explains Audet.. “Muse always has a vision of the future in its stage concepts”.
