Laos lights up its 40th National Republic Day with three hundred DTS moving heads

A spectacular light show, carried out entirely with more than two hundred DTS moving heads, the celebration of the 40th National Day of Laos culminated, according to the lighting project designed and installed by the Thai service company Pro Pacífico.

The ceremony to commemorate the 40th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, which took place at the National Stadium, It is the most important event in this country in which the abolition of the monarchy and the proclamation of the democratic republic is celebrated..

The lighting of this event has been carried out by the technology of DTS Lighting, whose products it distributes in the Spanish market Commercial Acson, with the installation by the Thai company Pro Pacífico of more than two hundred Raptor moving heads, forty XR1200 Wash units and sixty XR3000 Spot.

The lighting designer for this ceremony, Karin Chaisompongpan, divided the stage into four different areas: bottom, forehead, right and left, each with a different light configuration.

Specifically, In the background area, three horizontal structures were installed, of 30 meters in length, each with ten XR3000 Spot units and four XR1200 Wash units. Hanging over the catwalk illuminating the audience there were 46 Raptor moving heads, that were complemented by other 42 units of this system in a structure of 21×2 meters and with 14 more located above the stadium stands.

In the area in front of the stage there were three horizontal trusses, of 30 meters each and equipped with ten XR3000 Spot and four XR1200 Wash systems; along with four structures of 12×2 metros, located on each side and at ground level, with eight Raptor and four XR1200 Wash, in addition to fourteen more moving head luminaires intended to illuminate the public.

Finally, the side lighting of the stage was configured with three structures (of 12×2 meters each) located on the right and left, with a total of eight Raptor moving heads.

As responsible for lighting design, Karin Chaisompongpan notes that her “experience in using DTS products for this event is extremely positive.”. For this project, Showtec Group, based in Singapore, sent technicians to perform technical support and maintenance tasks at the facilities, at the same time they were in charge of configuring the luminaires.
