With more than one hundred offices around the world, Deloitte is a world leader in corporate financial services, consultancy, taxation and audit. a few years ago, the company began construction of 'The Edge', What is its headquarters in the Netherlands called?, which has become a milestone in sustainability.

An essential factor in the design concept of the new structure was the implementation of a network communications environment, with the aim of promoting communication and collaboration between employees in natural meeting points, for the 40.000 square meters of building surface.

A proposal that required an advanced and centralized audiovisual solution with technology that provided quality, Future-proof performance and reliability, along with ease of use and accessibility for the more than a thousand people who work at 'The Edge', as well as reduced energy consumption, following the sustainable philosophy of this headquarters, and low operating costs.

With these requirements, the systems integrator Avex BV supplied and installed 4K display and projection systems of Sony as part of a low-energy networked visual communication solution in the iconic building, as well as HD video surveillance cameras from this manufacturer, that currently meet the needs demanded in this project.

As this manager points out, “all technology is based on Sony's professional 4K monitors, which also combine perfectly with the design of the building. We also use the SRX-T615 4K projector in our auditorium, which is very beneficial for displaying a large amount of essential data during important meetings. Even the security cameras are from Sony. We love Sony”.

The display systems chosen correspond to Sony's professional Bravia Led 4K monitors., that are used daily in this office building to carry out videoconferences in the meeting rooms and for the digital signage network in public areas as a means of digital communication.

Specifically, 'The Edge' has nearly one hundred screens from this range of FWD-85X9600P models (of 13×85”), FWD-55X8600P (of 20×55”) y FWD-65X8600P (65x65"), to which are added the monitors installed in meeting rooms that include U-Touch touch panel technology.

Bravia 4K monitors (more technical details in Digital AV Magazine) offer realistic images, with vivid colors and high contrast, ensuring Deloitte messages are displayed and conveyed clearly during meetings.

The HTML5 capability integrated into these monitors has also made it easier to create a high-impact digital signage network in the building., easy to manage and with low energy consumption. Besides, Equally suited to dynamic stand-alone communications and large multi-screen applications.

With resolution in format 16:9 4K, each screen allows USB playback, including ultra high definition content (UHD), IP control, RS232C (with optional accessory CBX-H11/1) and HTML5 web to facilitate dynamic communication.

Deloitte The Edge Sony y Avex BVThe building's auditorium also has a 4K digital projector for viewing applications from the Sony model SRX-T615., con 18.000 brightness lumens, a contrast ratio of 12.000:1 and an array with six high-pressure mercury lamps (HPM) in individual cartridges for easier and safer replacement that allows the company great operational versatility.

Sony's solution in this project has also included the installation of 29 network video surveillance cameras (seventeen SNC-DH280 and twelve SNC-CH280 devices, both exterior and HD resolution and day/night IR lighting) deployed to protect facilities.
