Sony's 3LCD and Z-Phosphor technology responds to the needs of the Euskalduna Jauregia Palace
The first two VPL-FHZ65 projectors have been installed in the meeting and conference rooms, some spaces with great luminosity to which these teams give the response they need with their Z-Phosphor laser light source, duration of 20.000 hours and WUXGA resolution.
He Euskalduna Jauregia Conference and Music Palace was inaugurated on 19 February 1999 in Bilbao. A unique building, conceived by architects Federico Soriano and Dolores Palacios, which is shown as a ship under permanent construction, emerging from a dock where the Euskalduna shipyard was located.
The Palace, of 58.200 m2, brings together activities of an economic-business nature, institutional, social and cultural. In 2015 more than 400 congresses and meetings, eight of which brought together more than a thousand attendees, equaling the highest number achieved in a year. The International Association of Conference Centers (AIPC) awarded this Congress Center and the Apex Award for the Best Congress Center in the World 2003.
Those responsible for AV media at the Euskalduna Palace aim to homogenize its video projector park in the conference rooms, in order to facilitate their maintenance work, mainly in the replacement of lamps.
The company Faston Audiovisuales proposed the alternative of installing projectors Sony con fuente Z-Phosphor, based on the fact that its main advantage is the duration of the laser light source, of 20.000 hours, versus the life of a lamp, between 2.000 y 3.000 hours, depending on the equipment. Combined with a variety of energy-saving functions, the total operating cost, throughout its useful life, is reduced compared to conventional lamp-based projectors.
Z-Phosphor light source
Faston Audiovisuales selected the VPL-FHZ65 projector, It features Sony Z-Phosphor laser technology as a light source. Provides faithful color reproduction and has native WUXGA resolution. The combination of 3LCD projection with Z-Phosphor laser light source adapts to the needs of the Euskalduna Palace, in terms of image quality, reliability and durability.
At the moment, The first two projectors have been installed in the meeting and conference rooms that the Euskalduna Palace rents for different events. These are rooms with great luminosity.
In a place with so many people, The VPL-FHZ65 is very useful for this type of installations where there are very close presentation intervals. This technology requires only 7 seconds for the image to be displayed after turning on the computer. A laser light source means no lamp needs to heat up or cool down slowly, nor does it limit the installation angle and all this without giving up a high image resolution.
The projector offers up to 20.000 hours of useful life, virtually maintenance-free, combining high image quality, both in resolution (WUXGA vs WXGA), color reproduction and reduction in operating costs during the useful life of the equipment.
With this acquisition, The Euskalduna Palace will not have to replace the light source of the new projectors in almost ten years, achieving a reduction in maintenance costs with an innovative and reliable AV solution.
“With laser technology you can see greater resolution and luminosity than with previous lamp projectors.”. We hope to have lower consumption, greater durability and reliability during the useful life of the equipment”, Affirma Ibarluzea Badly, Head of Audiovisuals at the Euskalduna Palace.
