Crestron modernizes AV infrastructure at historic London building, headquarters of a private bank

An innovative bank, located in a historic London building, needed to renew its audiovisual infrastructure to give its headquarters a modern character with spaces where different types of events could be held (such as presentations or exhibitions) and offer greater attention to your customers.

The project was entrusted to the company Vega Europe, which had the challenge of responding to the client's needs within a tight time frame, guaranteeing that the implementation would involve minimal interruption for the client.. Single Mode Fiber technology was used as the primary transportation method as it is the solution that best responded to the difficulties posed by the building design., which has a marble floor that cannot deteriorate. This meant that the cables had to be run through the underground car park.

Crestron DigitalMedia was selected as the infrastructure control system, thanks to its flexibility and reliability; and to carry out the management the Crestron AV3 control processor has been used., as well as two control interfaces. In the other two rooms, intended for clients, where AV elements have also been incorporated, Two other Led display devices have been installed on the wall whose signal is delivered through the DigitalMedia system.

Working with Crestron technology, Vega Europe has created an acrylic lectern modified to be portable. It can be relocated to any space, offering a flexible solution for presentations and events.. This system includes a microphone, a speaker and audio processing equipment, all connected to the Crestron system, allowing it to be used in different applications from basic day-to-day use to large-scale events.

Using Crestron's Smart Graphics Suite, The control interfaces were designed and programmed to create a simple and intuitive system that could be used by non-technical personnel but also offers advanced control functions for more experienced users.. To adapt to each user, The system allows you to enter different user profiles so that it can be managed automatically or with more advanced functions whose access is protected with passwords..

TIO Service

For the two areas intended for clients, Vega Europe has developed an innovative service, called TIO. This is a request system that helps meetings run without interruptions.

Guests can use TIO to order refreshments with Crestron's touchscreen system on an iPad, before or during meetings. Orders are sent directly to the kitchen, where staff receive an auditory and visual alert.

TIO speeds up the delivery process and eliminates order errors. Besides, This service can record all relevant statistics for reporting and offers the possibility to request AV support.

The entire project was completed in just six weeks, meeting all client expectations to offer a modern space, with an automated AV system that is maintenance-free and easy to use.
