Callao's screens open to the world of digital culture, disseminating the work of emerging talent
This project was born as a commitment to support the art world on the part of Callao City Lights., committed to disseminating the work of young talents who develop their activity in the universe of digital creation. This initiative will begin with the work of the Asturian illustrator Juan Díaz-Faes.
Callao City Lights starts the year with a new dynamic advertising project linked to the world of art and culture. The outdoor screens of the Callao cinemas will serve as a showcase for the work of 12 featured emerging artists, belonging to the world of photography, illustration or video art.
The action has been developed in collaboration with the magazine Yorokobu, which has been in charge of selecting the 12 young artists who will exhibit, one per month, your creations through these large format digital media.
“Callao City Lights has wonderful windows in the heart of Madrid: the exterior screens of the Callao cinemas. If we recently paid tribute to the world of cinema, on the occasion of 90 anniversary of these projection rooms, now we open them to the world of digital culture, disseminating the work of the emerging talent that we have in our country. “Yorokobu magazine will act as curator in the content proposal”, explains Antonio González, commercial director of Callao City Lights, company that manages the Callao cinemas.
The programming, that will last all year, will begin with the projection of the work of Juan Díaz-Faes, illustrator of Asturian origin who will show a series made up of patterns. Some works in which the viewer will be able to discover figures perched or entangled with each other and in which color takes center stage.. The series will be shown approximately every two minutes.

This new content offer will alternate with the commercial type and with the cultural information of the Madrid City Council that is usually broadcast on these media..
