Christie will show the present and future of AV technology at ISE 2017
Among the novelties that will be exhibited at its two stands are the Extreme FHD553-XE-H LCD flat panel; the Ultrascape direct vision LED display series, 1DLP laser phosphor projectors DHD599-GS and DHD850-GS; the version 6.0 by Pandoras Box and Widget Designer; the platform that simplifies the process of creating large-scale visual experiences Mystique; and the expansion of the Phoenix content management and distribution system.
In WHEREAS 2017, Christie leaves behind its traditional Arena concept, valid since the edition of 2010, and participate in the contest with two different stands.
At 1H-70 it will show a wide catalog of products, both in performance and in the use of 'base technologies', that includes solutions that reflect the company's two priorities: the search for the development of products conceived and manufactured for specific uses, and optimal system integration.
In this area, Christie will also show the Space Between, that intermediate space that exists between the image shown and its audience. And it does so through several of its integration toolkits and exploring direct interaction with content, not in 'one to one' mode but 'one to many'.
Stand 1-M85 will be located in front of this space., where Christie will showcase its systems integration 'toolkits' for content delivery applications, large format and multi-screen display. In that same space, will share with the audiovisual world its plans to develop products from these technologies.
The exhibition displays three product series that are currently in the development phase., each with a different approach to laser illumination. The Christie Product Management team will explain the systems on the spot, how they are developing and why.
Aspect flat panels
Christie Aspect flat panel portfolio includes LCD Performance series, Ultra and Extreme, featuring decreasing bezel sizes and increasing performances. These solutions are manufactured for 24 use×7 and its dimensions range from 46 at 98 inches. They can be HD or UHD and serve applications such as single-touch touch screens or multi-screen video walls..
The FHD552-X models can be seen at the fair, FHD492-XV y FHD552-XV, as well as the latest addition to the Extreme Series, the FHD553-XE-H. With a combined bezel of 1,7 mm, This high-gloss computer displays content at 700 nits and incorporates advanced software to calibrate and homogenize the panels, which speeds up the installation and maintenance of LCD video walls.
Display led Ultrascape
Modular and reconfigurable Led lighting video cubes, Christie MicroTiles, They will be installed on pedestals to attract the visitor's attention and inform them of their advantages.
Christie's use of LED technology extends to a preview of Ultrascape: the next series of direct vision Led displays, with high quality components that have passed the rigorous validation process followed by the company for Full HD with 4K and 8K resolutions. This solution can be seen in an installation mounted on a 360º column.
Ultrascape has been developed to incorporate the inherent advantages of direct vision LEDs. (high gloss and low maintenance and cost of ownership) in critical applications 24×7, and for those who wish to use this technology in creative video wall designs with the reliability and assembly precision that these types of applications demand..
Christie Velvet's Apex Series is also on display, with a pixel pitch of between 1,2 mm y 1,6 mm to support UHD resolution, and front access, Redundant power supply and advanced monitoring capabilities.
Projection news
In the projection area, Christie will exhibit the L Series models, Captiva, GS, HS, Mirage y Boxer, showing the breadth of features in its catalog: of 3.500 lumens over 30.000, and from WXGA to native 4K (4.096×2.160), using LCD based technologies, 1DLP, 3DLP for image creation and single and multi-lamp lighting technologies, laser phosphor and RGB, in conjunction with proprietary BoldColor and TruLife technology, that with his ability to 1,2 Gigapixels per second is the most powerful video processing electronics in the industry.
Among the novelties that will be exhibited at ISE 2017 the DHD599-GS and DHD850-GS 1DLP laser phosphor projectors are found, the latter equipped with Christie's new ultra-short throw lens. The multi-award-winning Boxer 4K30, with high bandwidth multi-input card, special input for fiber and Christie Link transmitter, will be present at the exhibition The Space Between. And the recently announced Boxer 4K20 4K native with more than 20.000 lumens of brightness, as already published in Digital AV Magazine, has recently been presented.
Pandoras Box 6.0 y Widget Designer 6.0
Launched last October on LDI, the Christie Pandoras Box media server 6.0 y Widget Designer 6.0 They occupy the center of the exhibition The Space Between.
Pandoras Box combines the latest rendering technology with intuitive media and show control. Among the numerous improvements in the version 6.0 highlights the possibility of making editable meshes and warps, UV mapping settings and live canvas masking; or the Multi User mode that allows multiple Pandoras Box operators to share the workload of a project, achieving greater efficiency when working on different tasks: warping, encoding content, programming times or, simply, working in the same sequence.
Widget Designer has also been redesigned, incorporating HTML5 user interface and native HTML support, which includes CSS Styles. Animation and transitions are now available for all pages and widgets.
The Pandoras Box combination 6.0 y Widget Designer 6.0 gives the user the possibility of creating custom control interfaces.
Updates to all Christie Pandoras Box servers and players have resulted in faster processing power, larger memory and more storage. With the recent introduction of the new Pandoras Box OCTO Server, Operators can use eight outputs from a single machine and full bandwidth, without sacrificing performance quality.
During all the days of the contest, every hour, between the 11:00 and the 17:00, A guided tour of The Space Between exhibition will take place at stand 1-H70, in which the joint operation of the Christie Boxer Series will also be explained, Pandoras Box 6.0 y Widget Designer 6.0.
Large-scale visual experiences
Besides, after its launch at InfoComm 2016, Christie Mystique is presented for the first time in Europe. A platform that combines software, hardware and services to simplify the process of creating large-scale visual experiences. Can be used in very diverse applications: projection mapping in sports spaces, giant screen domes or theme park attractions and other types of recreational spaces.
ISE visitors will be able to see how this solution eliminates the tedious and complex manual alignment process, simplifies installation and reduces maintenance and downtime in this type of applications.
Christie Phoenix
Finally, Christie will present its expansion of the Phoenix content management and distribution system. And he does it by jointly exhibiting Phoenix EP (Built-in Processor) y Spyder X20, a versatile hardware-based video processor, which is combined with the flexibility of a universal routing switch.
Phoenix EP is a compact, scalable single or multi-panel content management solution that mounts directly to compatible Christie displays., connecting directly to a network using CATx cable. A single Phoenix EP processes networked sources and decodes and manages data sources on up to two flat panels, in addition to streamlining system designs and eliminating the need for AV expansion and distribution equipment.
The Spyder X20 has an architecture that makes possible an independent environment of resolution and video format. Its integrated source monitoring allows simultaneous monitoring, in real time and at maximum frame rate of all inputs, with a bandwidth of 20 megapixels for blending, windows, mix and scale any source format, then routing the signal to any playback device or combination of devices.
