Waves develops new Icon control surfaces for the LV-1 live mixer

The Israeli manufacturer of plugins and DSP systems has developed a solution to add faders and physical controls to the eMotion LV-1 live mixer, which will be available in Spain next August through Neotécnica.

The LV-1 mixer is a mixing solution for live and broadcast environments that Waves presented last year, Scalable, SoundGrid-based network for low-latency audio processing and transport. Besides, Features analog audio I/O options, AES, MADI and ProtoolsDigiLink via DiGiGrid interfaces and/or the Crest Audio Tactus system.

System components are I/O interfaces (previous), SoundGrid process server (Impact, One o Extreme), the mixer client PC and, optionally ,the use of touch screens and MIDI or MackieHue controllers.

The Icon controllers, that will distribute Neotecnica on the Spanish market next August, They are specially designed for use with the LV-1 mixer and are delivered with the specific driver for easy mapping of the mixer functions.. These devices connect to the PC via a USB cable and a maximum of four surfaces can be assigned per mixer..

Waves Icon Platform M (in the first image) It is a compact surface, con 8+1 motorized faders to control inputs, plugins y buses. Includes eight multifunction knobs, Illuminated function buttons and a jog for quick access to parameter settings.

Finally, Icon D2 is an LCD display to connect the Platform M and X and display channel names, as well as the parameters that are being modified at the moment.
