Sound Media powers Pompano Beach rock concerts with Powersoft
The amphitheater of Pompano Beach, in Florida (EU) has been the scene of the rock band concert of the 70 that this Hollywood-based audio and video systems producer has done with this manufacturer's X and K series amplifiers to achieve maximum power.
As the president of Sound Media, audio rental company, Lennox Foster (in the image below), “X Series and K Series amplifiers Powersoft They have an extremely smooth response and are very efficient. Besides, can operate with any available power source. We like the X Series in particular because we don't have three-phase power in our warehouse, and with these amplifiers we can program and configure voltage at 120 y 220 until we reach the shows that have triphasic”.
In addition to installing a temporary PA system and lighting for the Firefall rock bands concert, Little and Pure Prairie League, Sound Media amplified the show with twelve X4 amplifiers; eighteen K2 and six K10, all from Powersoft, which were installed on the left side of the stage.
“One of the things we pride ourselves on is our ability to leave less of an energy footprint,” this expert highlights.. The low current power flow in the amplifiers is phenomenal and extremely efficient, so that, from a single power source, we can now power many more Powersoft amplifiers”.
Being an outdoor environment, Pompano Beach Amphitheater is very reflective. However, as Foster points out, “by choosing Powersoft amplifiers with DSP processing on each channel, The units' features and clarity helped solve unwanted reverberations. Thanks to the processing in each channel of the amplifier we easily achieve nuances of power and manipulate the sound with more definition and precision”.
Another advantage of these systems is their single rack space design “which is excellent and with its power density you can get a lot of amplification in small spaces”, Foster points out..
