Fátima concludes its centenary celebrations with a light and sound show
An audiovisual presentation that combines video mapping projection with 3D effects will be offered on the façade of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, lighting effects and original soundtrack. For the staging they will be used. For the audiovisual projection they will be used 22 projectors, 10 of them of 22.000 lumens each and others 12 of 30.000 lumens.
The show 'Fátima-Time of Light' will put the finishing touch to the celebrations of the centenary of the apparitions in the Sanctuary of Fátima (Portugal), which will be released on Thursday 12 October after the procession of Silence, after midnight, and you can also see the days 13 y 14 October after the Candle procession.
This is an audiovisual presentation that combines videomapping projection with 3D effects., lighting effects and original soundtrack entrusted by the Fatima Sanctuary to Acciona Productions and Design (APD).
The facade of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima, with dimensions of 140 meters wide and 58 meters high, will form a projection of 3.100 square meters. The narrative axis will revolve around a story that aims to symbolically project the light of Fatima in the heart of each believer., bringing you closer to the heart of God.
This way, The façade of the basilica will acquire a special light to commemorate the evolution of this place over the last hundred years, reconstructing the most important historical and spiritual milestones related to the appearance of the Virgin Mary in the Cova da Iria.
The show is developed from the experience of the thousands of pilgrims who visit the sanctuary every year and is made up of seven scenes: 'The reflection of God's light'; 'The Heart of Mary, immaculate and triumphant, leads to God'; 'The Church sings the Message of Fatima'; 'The paths of the pilgrims'; 'In Fátima we heard a message of peace for the world'; 'In Fatima we celebrate the God who is close to human beings’ and 'In Fátima we illuminate our hearts'.
For the audiovisual projection, 22 projectors, 10 of them of 22.000 lumens each and others 12 of 30.000, with a power of 580.000 lumens and a resolution of 15.900 pixels. In addition, The show will have a total installed power of 137.200 watts of sound and 16.800 lighting watts.
A carbon neutral event
In line with Acciona's commitment to sustainability, the show will be 'carbon neutral'; that is to say, CO2 emissions linked to the event will be calculated and offset with a clean energy project, which will make the final balance of emissions zero.
Besides, The event will be accessible to people with reduced mobility, since you will have a reserved space from which you can enjoy the show without any visual limitations.
