Datapath presents the next generation of video controllers for critical environments
Designed for display applications that require high performance and reliability, The manufacturer already has the VSN982 and VSN1182 models available, which join the two VSN series controllers that were introduced earlier this year.
The new VSN982 and VSN1182 controllers from Datapath They integrate important updates to offer more efficiency than the previous generation models in terms of power; improved and quieter cooling, and scalability to fit a wide variety of markets, as security command and control rooms, public services, airports, traffic management, etc. that have video wall configurations.
These VSN series systems, installed and tested in pilots in control rooms of different criticality and size, They have been designed with switched fabric network technology, which ensures that each Gen3 PCIe slot, located in the posterior plane, can deliver high-resolution bandwidth from a range of capture cards to multiple outputs.
Datapath VSN982 and VSN1182 also ship with SSD drives of 240 from 480 GB to deliver much faster and quieter performance than traditional hard drives. Chassis design modifications also help improve airflow, which again serves to reduce the temperature, fan noise and ensure solid reliability.
For Ben Dale, product manager de Datapath, “These additions to our VSN series show how these powerful and versatile controllers operate with optimal efficiency, no cooling problems; something fundamental for a stable and reliable system in control environments 24/7 environments”.
VSN982 controller is available with nine slots, and model VSN1182 with eleven slots; both with a powerful Xeon processor 32 GB of RAM, Dual SSD drives and an RPSU power supply.
