Equifax installs a creative screen in its new headquarters with PixelFlex Led panels
In the lobby of its new location, an original solution built with TrueFLEX LED panels from 1,9 mm. This presents a central section with promotional information in 16: 9, while around it is offered, simultaneously, more innovative content that has been produced by Velocity Studios.
Equifax is a global information solutions company with offices in 24 countries around the world. Recently, opened a new facility in Atlanta (Georgia) and they wanted it to be different, that was equipped with a solution that would capture the attention of visitors from the moment they entered the door.
Working with the AV integrator Velocity Productions, has developed a visual canvas in the lobby built with TrueFLEX Led screens from 1,9 mm provided by PixelFlex.
“We did some previous work with Equifax and when we started talking about this project, They made it clear that they did not want a traditional 16×9 LED wall to simply display content., they wanted to do something unique. Since it would be a digital screen oriented to the public, which was going to be located in the lobby of their new building, They wanted an LED video experience, so we came up with a design that used the TrueFLEX video solution to really catch the eye.”, explica Scott Carman, Vice President of Systems Integration and Business Development at Velocity Productions.
Designed to create concave or convex curved screens, TrueFLEX is ideal for installations requiring ultra-fine pixel pitch and a high-resolution platform in a flexible form factor..
Available in 1,9, 2,5, 3, 4, 6 y 10 mm, This solution adheres to any surface and its fanless design allows a noise-free LED screen in any space.. Slim, lightweight construction requires very little wiring space, and external sending and receiving control, along with its connectors, ensure safe and reliable module connections.
Taking advantage of the magnetic connection capabilities of the TrueFLEX system, A custom frame could be fabricated to serve as the backbone for the design and simplify the installation process.
“They wanted to place the screen next to the staircase that leads to the executive offices, between two doors leading to the conference area. For its design we were somewhat limited in terms of height but we had a very large space, approximately six meters, between the doors. To connect the screen, We design square tube steel frame structure to magnetize all parts, which made the installation process easier. In the end we ended up using 50 TrueFLEX video tiles to complete the design”, explica Scott Carman.
For this project, a model with a pixel pitch of 1,9 mm “because we knew that people would be just over a meter away from the screen and we needed it to show sharp, clear images at a very close distance. We then use the shipping unit control system provided by PixelFlex and the system BrightSign for content management. The entire control system is located in a cabinet that also houses the audio system, that runs alongside video content”, Carman continues..
This screen is designed with a center section that displays promotional content from Equifax on 16:9, while around it is offered, simultaneously, more innovative content that has been produced by Velocity Studios. The latter has been created with images recorded in the same city of Atlanta and, To offer a more dynamic experience they have created a kaleidoscope of video images.
“The intention was for it to be more of an art installation, instead of just a constant delivery of digital information, as it would be the reference facility used as a model for additional locations around the world”.
